pangolin assigned B.1.1.7 to 18,070 sequences on GISAID, 16,982 of which are from the UK. There are 40 countries in total with sequences assigned B.1.1.7 by pangolin. Newly represented is Iran (1), report date from 2021-01-05.
In addition to the sequences previously assigned P.1 from Brazil and Japan, pangolin assigned lineage P.1 to a sequence from South Korea (sample date 2021-01-10). @nmrfaria
As of today 2021-01-19, 58 countries in total have reported cases of B.1.1.7 (40 of which with B.1.1.7 sequences on GISAID). Morocco reports a case of B.1.1.7, report here: dailysabah.com/world/mid-east… thanks @SheLuvAva!
A total of 23 countries have reported cases of lineage B.1.351 (13 of them represented by sequences on GISAID).
A total of 4 countries have reported cases of lineage P.1, 3 of which now have sequences on GISAID: Brazil, Japan, Italy and South Korea. We show updated counts of P.1 sequences on passenger volumes from Manaus in the month of October (more recent flight data not yet available).
