This quote from Rebekah Mercer in a Nov 2020 article is crazy🤦♀️
“The ever increasing tyranny and hubris of our tech overlords demands that someone lead the fight against data mining, and for the protection of free speech online. That someone is Parler"
In 2018 @JaneMayerNYer reported Rebekah Mercer & friends played a parlor game called the Machine Learning President, with a race to the oval office - players had cash to push their agendas, which could include “algorithmic policing” & “mass deportation”
In April 2020 Derkach filed a FARA for hiring Andy Kuchma (aka Artemenko) & Nabil Bader (through Global Management Association) as consultants. A different Kuchma company - Airtrans - is part of Erik Prince's Frontier Resource Group
Trumper spin that impeachment is bad & everyone should play nice is like what happens after a gun tragedy when gun advocates say "it's too soon" to discuss gun control
Dems need to counter with better shared messaging - to heal those who incited violence need to face justice
One thing GOP/far-right does well is creating simple shared talking points
Dems are pretty bad at this - it may seem better to let individuals speak in their own way, but at a certain point, it's helpful to the public to hear some consistent shared ideas
Exactly this👇 try doing this for Dem messaging on the same issues
Dems don't need to change core principles, but the age of social media & disinformation isn't going away and Dems need to make sure true facts & key messages are clear & consistent
