I have signed. When you understand how much power there is in collective action and the possibilities it can bring about, no action feels like a waste of time, It only becomes arguably a waste when not enough people do the same, that's my point.#PublicInquiry#CovidUK
Rosannalilley.com/covid-britannia (bloody awful audio. Covid Britannia is certainly on my list to reshoot. Seeing the sickening revisionism, the government sought to have entered into the parliamentary record Covid Britannia has bee. Numped to top of the list
Closely followed, though, by
Ode to Tory Neglect through the lens of Ben Bradley MP after he posted a pretty Fucking fascy - anti-leftist- propaganda video on opposition day debates. Johnson has indicated in a message obviously written to be leaked he may “rethink clearly vacuous legislative debates.”
So that's a pause on Priti Patel because A / seeking to have Hansard “acknowledge” something as they did with sovereignty is is the epitome of analyses of post-truth politics - that truth is debatable, democratic and that it's the truth of those that triumph that reigns.
Yet they deride us for relativism.

We need answers on the UK’s view on the regular genocidal programs incited both implicit and explicitly by those Himdutva Fascists - including members of the government. Why were 3 men extradited to India when the have been warned that would likely mean inhumane treatment.
The public have a right to know the they no longer have an “*enforceable right”to protection from inhumane treatment upon deportation extradition.
*Non- enforceable right” is a term so violently oxymoronic and Orwellian that it is an outrage that the media failed us so terribly.
Thing is sovereignty for many people mostly meant sovereignty in terms of borders and keeping the foreign foreign. It's also about a notion of national renewal that aims at a mythologised past that never existed. (✔️✔️That's two defining features of fascism there.)
Now we have Boris Johnson the poster boy for government, the embodiment of the people and their will. (✔️There's another one) now we have a PM set to change the constitution, the human rights act and even the relationship between government and the courts.!
he has set in motion the introduction of US style gerrymandering with his plans to redraw electoral boundaries oh and there are the voter suppression laws to require voter id. (✔️ I think it’s fair to say this is another. Though usually takes more of a run up.
This is why I am utterly heartbroken. Johnson has been employing fascist politics, he hit drops the dead cat doses of racism more precisely than trumps constant use of these tactics. Johnson is definitely smarter that Trump. So frankly we are in trouble.
Amnesty international, Public Law Project, Liberty, and Democracy now are ringing the alarms. THIS IS CODE RED. His use of fascist political tactics is one thing and of purse does not guarantee the creation of a fascist state but
he is setting out a constitutionally alarming agenda that seizes more power, an agenda that has been described as a power grab, authoritarian, autocratic by human rights and democracy groups as well as journalists and even a systems theorist.
The new interactive map shows o er 2000 connections between brexit supporting think tanks & MPs and CLIMATE DENIALIST think tanks, organisations etc.
This is really serious. Why is the news not running this?
The interactive map shows:
Frontrunners for the Tory leadership including Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and Dominic Raab are tied to a network of thinktanks and lobbyists pushing disinformation on the climate crisis, while promoting policies that could harm the environment in the name of a no-deal Brexit;
I’m not delusional
I know there is very little chance
But that’s no reason to stop
Protest is about speaking up
Even when no one is listening
It is a fight in the face of futility
It’s David and Goliath
And we are still scrambling for our slingshot
The fulcrum
On which the whole situation will turn
Tipping the scales that weigh us against the immense machine of government
Cumbersome, lumbering and creaking with bureaucracy
Massive and able to crush
More often though it will stride right over us
Ignoring us entirely dwarfed by its enormity
Casting its shadow over your movement
Shade blankets as it to put out the flame of our passion
It’s steps over us, in its shadow we are small
We do know our size
But regardless we continue to try
We are not trying to overturn the result but update it.
We want to update it in light of the illegality and corrupt practices found to have marred the previous vote.
We are standing up for the integrity of our democracy. We cannot uphold this result, won by significant breaches. The process was undemocratic therefore the result cannot possibly be the real will of the people.
If you can just dismiss some of the most widespread and ranging illegalities our electoral system has seen then how much do you really care about the integrity of democracy? A democracy that is not protected and governed by the rule of law is not a democracy.
