Thing is sovereignty for many people mostly meant sovereignty in terms of borders and keeping the foreign foreign. It's also about a notion of national renewal that aims at a mythologised past that never existed. (✔️✔️That's two defining features of fascism there.)

We are watching a super state growing at super speed in terms of how long this level of regime change usually takes a fascist project(✔️) I will add here, his government has already been described as autocratic by a surprising number of journalists, organisations and the like.
Not to mention the fact they have now removed the sunset clause that had limited the time ministers can make law without parliament (Henry viii aka, statutory instrument aka secondary legislation.) to 2 years after leaving. They have provided no justification for this. (✔️)
So yeah our democracy is fucked. Our access to justice blocked and a human rights act, so mangled by the Tory’s tearing out its heart. The proposed change would mean that the act no longEr applies to anyone in any situation as its stated intention. Once one exemption is made....
It becomes far more likely other groups of people will also be carved out The Human rights act. Leaving them without protection or with the knowledge they will not be punished. Neither is good. #SaveOurHRA
