Ok Folks Last Tweet Thread before i turn in for the night:
Enjoy anthr peek into OUR Life from the eyes of a bride to be ...
Faujis are the most amazingly easy people to get along with. Should one fall in love with one & decide to marry him, here was what to could expect.
๐
1/
1. There would be indirect hints about getting up at O Five Hundred (0500) (it's never 5 am) and doing 5 km with 100 push ups.
2. Going to a party was a parade. 2000 hrs means 1955 hrs. Right time, right kit (dress) and right place.
๐
2 3. Your husband may be a young captain but when you enter a room, all offrs will get up to wish you & that incls Generals. Thats the respect you will get - every time.
4. If he's out on TD & you are alone, expect EXTRA attn. You didn't marry just him...you married the army.
๐
3 5. He would be extremely loving and understanding, but you have to understand that to him "Roger" is as romantic as "Yes, honey".
4 6. Expect Young Offrs to land up at your pad at odd hours demanding food. It won't happen frequently, but by God it will happen. Scrambled eggs are acceptable food. The youngsters will offer to help. Decline gracefully. These guys are like happy Bulls in a bonechina shop.
๐
5 7. If you were sitting alone in a party (your husband is cracking jokes with his friends which NO ONE outside the fauji circle understands), expect a young officer to ask you for a dance. It's tradition and speaks of good breeding.
Psst He's been 'nudged' to do so! ๐
๐
6 8. When he meets your school and college friends, he will be very polite with the ladies. He will open doors and pull chairs. Chivalry is in his DNA. He was NOT flirting.
Nothing spl, That's just the way he has been trained.
๐
7 9. He would not be walking on your left side. He is 9 o'clock to you. The building is not in front its 12 o'clock. 10. He'll eat rice with a fork, unless it's a sitdown dinner. If rotis he will use the fork to shovel the dal or veggie on the roti. That's just how they eat.
๐
8 11. He would eat at a dhaba if you so desire, but will maintain fauji table manners. He would "open" and "close" his plate. If he used a toothpick, he will cover his mouth with the other hand.
12. He would drink but never get drunk. His manners would always be impeccable.
9 13. Guderian, Rommel and Clausewitz are not his coursemates.
14. If he was with his coursemates, don't expect him to behave his age. They are the only competition you have in terms of attention or his bike.
15. He wont want to know what happened at the Ladies Club.
10 16. He'll respect you for being strong. And happy for you to take centerstage, with him cheering you from sidelines goofy grin & all.
17. Though it depends on ethnicity of the tps he comds, don't be surprised if you are called "Sir" sometimes. No disrespect is meant.
๐
11 18. He was probably the most secure man youve ever seen. He'll have very little self doubt. The ribbons he wears on his chest are the reason.
๐
12
Now the bit that sets his a breed apart from the crowds:
19. He'd never use foul language in the presence of ladies. This is not to say that his "grammar" was not up to the mark. On the contrary, he probably a PhD in "language". But NEVER in the presence of ladies.
๐
13 20. While he'd has enuf for u to get by, he's never gonna be rich. But if you count ur wealth by the extended family, tons of love, respect & loyalty, well youve married a guy richer than Bill Gates.
If he's alone in a room & looking happy, it's just him admiring his Raybans.

A an interesting story from Netaji's life with a linkage to today ...
In 1910, two young men had met Revered Swami Brahmanandaji, the First president Ramakrishna Math & Mission - Subhas & Nirmal.
Both the young men expressed their ardent desire to become monks of the Order.
๐
2/ However, while the Satyadrashta in Swami Brahmanandaji accepted Nirmal's candidature to join the Order, he declined & forbade Subhas Chandra Bose, saying he had to accomplish great work by staying outside the Order.
3/
Nirmal went on to become Swami Madhavananda, the Ninth president of the Order, while we all know what happened to Subhas Chandra Bose.
Posting a old favourite Tale of mine from the Wild Wild West -
Be warned this thread is LONG.
But all Good things take time!
'The Old WOMAN & her MULE'
On a warm dusty afternoon, a wizened OLD WOMAN slowly trudged up to a Saloon and tied her old mule to the hitching post.
๐
2/ As she stood there, brushing the dust from her face and clothes, a young GUN-SLINGER stepped out of the saloon with a gun in one hand and whisky in the other. He took one looked at the old woman, laughed and said "Hey you OLD BAG have you danced before?"
๐
3/ The Old Woman looked up at the Gunslinger & spoke in a tired voice "Nah! i neva did dance, neva really wanted tuh"
By now a crowd had gathered as the Gunslinger grinned & said "Well you ol'Bag, You're gonna dance NOW!" & started shooting at the grnd near the woman's feet.
๐
2/ As well the urge to present credible propositions.
Fortunately for them, much of their FB & SM/media support base are gullible/consumed by #ModiHatred sentiment not to question the claims. I am one of them.๐
So now I look forward to the hugest ever tractor rally.๐
๐
3/ According to this report, in The Hindu two lakh tractor trolleys will take part in the rally. My mind boggles. Length of typical tractor is 2.9 m. Add a trolley att - 2M. Safe to assume a 3M intra tractor gap, max speed being 30 kmph .
This => 8 M per tractor.

A Thread with Some questions to our ex RM AK Antony, via @INCIndia@SupriyaShrinate , who read out a statement stating Operational details were leaked for the Balakot attack.
1. Who decides to launch a retaliatory strike by IAF against terror strike across the border/LC?
๐
2/
2. Is there a Vision /Concept document prepared in advance for such an operation, carrying specific date of execution or is paper work kept to the minimum?
3. Does the IAF or RM or MoD decide on the date and time of the operation or is it the Defence Minister?
๐
3/ 4. What would be the Security Classification of an operation of this nature, does IAF disseminate vital details to many or strictly only on a 'Need to Know' basis?
5. How was secrecy maintained in the Surgical Strike after Uri incident?
This is one for those who have donned the uniform as perhaps ONLY someone whose served would be able to relate to this ...
A US Air Force C-130 was scheduled to leave Thule Air Base, Greenland, at midnight during a winter month.
๐
2/
During the pilot's pre-flight check, he discovers that the latrine holding tank is still full from the last flight.
So a message is sent to the base and an airman who was off duty is called back out to take care of it ...
๐
3/
The young man finally gets to the air base and makes his way to the aircraft only to find that the latrine pump-truck has been left outdoors and is frozen solid, so he must find another one in the hangar, which takes even more time ...
