Peter Attwood, an 84-year-old from Chatham, Kent, died in hospital on January 30 last year after falling ill with a cough and fever. He is thought to be the first victim of Covid in the UK.

🔴Chris Whitty says there are signs that cases are starting to fall more quickly - though ONS data on community spread suggests this decrease is slightly slower than official figures.
He added that hospital rates are still at a very high rate across the country, with NHS staff working with a lot of sick people.
Prof Whitty said fatalities are stabilising at "an incredibly high number".
