pangolin assigned B.1.1.7 to 28,993 sequences on GISAID from 47 countries. 27,010 of those sequences are from the UK.

There are 668 B.1.351 sequences on GISAID from 20 countries. 524 of those sequences are from South Africa. @houzhou

Again, no increase in public P.1 sequences. There are 4 countries with P.1 sequences on GISAID: Brazil 24, Japan 4, Faroe_Islands 1 and South_Korea 1.

64 countries have reported cases of B.1.1.7 (47 of which have B.1.1.7 sequences on GISAID). New report of a case of B.1.1.7 in Abuja, Nigeria from 2020-12-29, no mention of association with travel in the report:

Lineage P.1 has been reported in 8 countries. The previously linked UK report is ambiguous as to whether P.1 or P.2 was detected: tinyurl.com/yys4znwq. There has been a newly reported case of P.1 in the USA associated with a traveller from Brazil: tinyurl.com/yxs2fsed
