1) In Nov. "ENDF carried out apparently indiscriminate shelling of urban areas in the Tigray region in violation of the laws of war.

#AllowAccessToTigray
2) "Artillery attacks at the start of the armed conflict struck homes, hospitals, schools, & markets in the city of Mekelle, & the towns of Humera and Shire, killing >83 civilians, including children, & wounding >300. Many of artillery attacks struck generalized populated areas"
3) ENDF "attacks caused civilian deaths & injuries; damaged homes, businesses, & infrastructure; struck near schools; disrupted medical services; & prompted 1000s of civilians to flee. Shells repeatedly struck populated areas that contained no evident military target"
4) Nov. 9 "artillery fired from Eritrea damaged residential areas in the Kebele 02 neighborhood, & struck near a church & a school, near a mosque in Kebele 01, & hit areas near the town’s main hospital. 5 people died & a barely alive 7-month-old infant was crying among them"
5) In total '46 people were killed & >200 were wounded'. On Nov. 17th shelling in Shire "hit buildings in the center of town & an industrial area. Civilians were killed & injured as they fled. Later that day, Ethiopian forces passed alongside Eritrean forces."
6) Nov. 28th Mekelle '27 civilians killed including children, >100 were wounded' "In 1attack, shells struck a residential compound near a market, mosque, & an empty school in Ayder sub-city, & killed 4members of a single family, 2young kids, wounded 5 adults & a 9-year-old child"
7) "laws of war applicable to the armed conflict in Tigray prohibit attacks targeting civilians/civilian structures, indiscriminate attacks,& attacks expected to cause greater harm to civilians. Forces have obligation to minimize harm to civilians & take all feasible precautions"
8) "ENDF should promptly allow @UN investigators into Tigray to document the conduct by warring parties in a conflict that has devastated the lives of millions. Despite communication blackout there've been credible reports of widespread abuses: apparent extrajudicial killings.."
9) "..pillage,& arbitrary detention by ENDF, Amhara forces, Fano, & PFDJ. 'A friend I used to play football w/, had his legs blown off in Humera' Those fleeing into neighboring towns/Sudan faced more artillery fire."
10) "Kahsay Aberra hospital had only 5 employees left, & barely any medical equipment/supplies. EHRC reported 116 went back to work since mid-Dec. Shelling damage suggests the shelling came from the north. The bomb came in through the roof and damaged the rooms underneath it." ImageImage
11) @hrw "identified at least two potential firing positions on a hill in Eritrean territory. Shire: 10 dead, 6-10 had injuries around their intestines & legs. There were no Tigray special forces or weapons that he was aware of in the area or at the church compound." ImageImageImage
12) Mekelle Nov. 28 "Tigray special forces had already retreated from Mekelle before heavy shelling began which killed 27 including 4 kids & injured >100 civilians. 1man had his 1/2 his face blown off & injuries were consistent with fragmentation wounds from shelling"
13) Attack from the "north of the city in Kebele 15 & Ayder. Ayder artillery attack struck residential compound near Hamza mosque, a sheep market, & Yekatit 23 elementary school, killed 4 members of a family, including two girls ages 4&13, & wounded 5residents."
14) "mortar rounds landed on a family compound injuring a senior, his wife, & his 9-year-old child. 3neighbors were seriously wounded by fragments. The bones in one woman’s foot were shattered. The other 2had serious hand injuries. All spent weeks in the hospital." Image
15) Nov. 28th - ICRC staff "reported 80% of the patients at the time appeared to suffer from trauma-related injuries. #Abiy declared victory & on Nov. 30 to members of parliament, he said ENDF had not 'killed a single person' in the military offensive on Mekelle." @NobelPrize
