ever notice how republicans are always giving democrats "advice" on how they should go forward? it was ridiculous when the govt was under gop control but now republicans are "advising" dems on how they could lose if they hold trump accountable. hilarious how that works out.
its like patrick mahomes sending tom brady some notes on how to win the super bowl.
its a phenomenon ive watched for over 20 years now. republicans lose the popular vote and the presidential vote, midterms, control of the house/senate, but theyre like "let me tell democrats how to win!"
and of course "how to win" always means moving to the right, giving gop criminality a pass.
"joe biden won the most votes in us history and now has a democratic house/senate? well my advice would be for him to move to the right of his campaign and the senate campaigns that just won in georgia, i am a very smart and savvy republican."

Democrats: why actually try when we can preemptively concede?
If Republicans had witness testimony from 100 people saying a democratic president incited a murder you would get 100 hours each of testimony from all 100 people. And we all know it, whether the verdict was a lock or not.

the last 4 years show that the system really doesn't work. if the voters had not been terrified into action, everything would be lost. the norms and rules did bupkiss, from ethics to a lot of election law. and journalism was an absolute disaster.
it says to me that there is a fundamental weakness in that the strongest democratic electoral performances have had to follow absolutely disastrous gop governance - 2006, 2008, 2018, 2020. in "normal" circumstances the dems suck at pulling a win (02, 04, 16)
it is now proven in america that turning the presidency into a massive personal profit center is easy and theres zero penalty for it.

Some of us kept trying to say this but too many of you were panting over MSNBC segments
to be clear not criticizing @dandrezner here. im talking about the msnbc superfans who spent the last four years telling me steve schmidt was one of the good guys now when i kept pointing out he did things like run ads saying obama wanted to teach young kids sex ed and he sucks
guys like steve schmidt, rick wilson etc are smear artists who ran lincoln project as a way to get gullible liberals to feel they were doing "something" in opposing 45. they enriched themselves in the process and had little to no effect on 2020.

i knew the democratic streak of getting things right was going on too long. same as it ever was. you have to laugh. and of course it happened in the senate, the worst place in our entire government.
republicans: do everything to make the opposition party look bad

democrats: don't.
democrats fundamentally do not understand the high value of going down swinging. republicans inherently understand that even when they lose a fight, the base of their party will value a doomed effort. democrats think a clean loss is good. its very stupid.

One was a two term POTUS and the other is the current VPOTUS but go off king
I love goofy Ted Cruz upset that the first and only black POTUS/VPOTUS might be significant black history figures and they are unsurprisingly both Democrats. But "Tim Scott."
