fox news deserves all the shit it gets for helping to brainwash half the country into thinking covid is a hoax but let’s not pretend there isn’t also a bizarro market for horribly backwards covid doom porn
these “a tiny number of covid vaccine recipients got covid” headlines are a known entity at this point and posting them anyway is a real choice
you can’t take the cheap out and say “this is why people stop listening to science” because those people will take any excuse they can find to stop listening regardless of these headlines but you can say these headlines are like shooting science in the back
like it is fucking hard enough arguing with loved ones that taking obscure anti malarial lupus drugs and vitamin c is not a miracle cure, now you’ve gotta unwind them from well the vaccines don’t really work I saw a bunch of headlines about people who got it anyway

their votes should be forfeit. dead serious. exclude them.
they can’t even be bothered to throw a hat tip to propriety and collude with the defense in the shadows. if they want to collude in broad daylight throw their asses out of the final vote counts.

hearing rumors the investors behind parler have “had it up to here with cancel culture” and are “gonna make our own mandalorian”
the sourcing is thin on this but I have it on good authority the series will be named “kava dume: intergalactic JAQ sheriff” streaming this fall on mercer plus
the franchise will be set in a universe “a long long time ago in a galaxy where speech is free and asking questions about the jewish globalists who control us is healthy dialogue”

nothing wrong with understanding worst case scenarios and encouraging people to look out for the welfare of others, and we should all do our part, but doom prognostication will never go out of style and it’s fine to say huh this doesn’t logically add up
this is where I say everyone should wear masks and not be assholes and wreck it for everyone but I also think the covid variant doomsaying is understudied and overwrought. some of it is well meaning & earnest, & some of it is just capitalizing on the high of freaking people out

cannot stress enough how astoundingly different this dynamic is than the first month of the obama presidency when the entire right wing media machine was in lockstep putting him in the meat grinder. now these guys go days at a time forgetting joe biden even exists.
in 2009 you’d watch an hour of glenn beck and his chalkboard dementia finding hidden illuminati symbology in century old public art, absolutely losing his mind about obama as the antichrist ushering in the new global order

now I’m not very smart but it would seem to me the children of unemployed parents would be at the highest risk of poverty and therefore need aid the most
again, I’m a moron, but it also seems like parents who would like very much to work but can’t afford ungodly daycare fees could also use the aid

every ballpark should either have identical dimensions, or every ballpark should be so comically different that scores routinely range from 49-38 to 1-0
it’s so incredibly absurd that instead of just having a dimension rule baseball has a range of allowable dimension options. either have a rule or let people put the outfield wall one foot behind second base
I want a park with alligator teeth shaped outfield walls. I want a park where you can hit the ball into a giant 50’ tall plinko wall located ten feet behind first base. I want a park with a million snooker bumpers in the extremely low roof
