Let’s explore $QNT- Vocalink-Mastercard connections.

#Quant_Network core team members have previous working experience at #Vocalink (Mastercard company):

✅ $QNT CEO Gilbert Verdian was Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

✅ $QNT Chief Product Officer Martin Hargreaves held mutiple top positions (see last pic below)

However, Gilbert Verdian and Martin Hargreaves are not the only team members with working experience in both $QNT and #Vocalink/Mastercard.
There was also Mark Aldersey, Head of Product in #Quant_Network from Nov 2018-March 2020 and Colin Paterson, former $QNT CTO.

$QNT CEO Gilbert Verdian not only worked as a Chief Information Security Officer at @Vocalink, but he also won “CISO of the Year” award in 2017 and was highly praised by the company.
So what is exactly #Vocalink and how big is it? Let’s talk numbers in the posts below.

@Vocalink processes over 90% of UK salaries, more than 70% of household bills and 98% of state benefits.
In 2013 the company processed over 10.5 billion UK payments with a value of over £5 trillion.
In July 2016 @Mastercard purchased a 92% stake in the company.

@Vocalink designed, built and operates the infrastructure for the Faster Payments Service.Running in parallel with Bacs and CHAPS, launched in 2008 it enables #interbank transfers in real time.Since 2008,over 3 billion Faster Payments trxs have been securely processed by VocaLink

So evidently, working as a CISO in this type of company and being responsible for security of the entire system was a massive role.
And on top of that winning the award for CISO of the year in 2017 is a true career achievement for anyone, but only a drop in the ocean for Gilbert

Gibert left his role at #Vocalink where he was responsible for the security of the UK's payment infrastructure for the Bank of England, covering BACS, FasterPayments, Link, Cheque and Credit Schemes to fully focus on his company, @quant_network. $QNT
