Reasons to honour your Pastors

1) God's word commands it

1 Timothy 5:17 - Your works hard and the least you can do is to respect and honour him.

Heb 13:17 - Your honouring them helps them to do their work with joy.

Many times we underestimate the responsibility and work that your pastor does, but if you understand the importance of your soul, then you will understand the importance of those who watch over that soul.

Like 10:16 - Honouring them is tantamount to honouring God.

The 2nd reason for Honouring your pastors: Those who honour their pastors receive from the grace in their lives.

In John 11:1-4 we see Jesus show up for Lazarus and his sisters because they honoured him.

Mark 6:4-5 - The people in Jesus' Country missed out on God's power because they didn't honour Jesus.
But in Luke 10:38-39 we see that those who honoured him gained personal access to him and the grace that He carried.

This is how it is for those who honour their pastors.

Live a life of honouring others, especially those who lead you, and you will know honour yourself.

The Pastor who is honoured has the responsibility of remaining humble and giving the glory to God whom it is due.

Let not your heart be puffed up because it was praises that got David into trouble with Saul.

Isaiah 42:8 - Don't play with God's honour and glory, He doesn't joke with it and he will not take it lightly with you.
