I'm seeing Art, in the $1,000's being sold almost every minute!
That's a HIGH Volume marketplace = Massive price appreciation.
4/ You can search artist like 'Boss Logic' and see that his pieces are selling like hotcakes.
'Forever Mamba' has gone up from $1k to $18k in like 3 weeks lol.
So I picked up some earlier drop 1 pieces which are all doing well.
5/ I'm buying on behalf of friends and family too.
It's fun getting them involved and collectively picking out pieces.
Again, this is high risk but if this era of NFTs is seen as the early years of a multi-billion dollar industry that spans centuries long then...damn..
6/ @opensea shows @SuperRare sales graph and the volume/art sell prices are still growing.
This is a 2 year graph.
7/ So I know @beeple is doing the first pure NFT @ChristiesInc drop WHICH, if does a big number, (maybe $5-$10M+)
Then this market will be on fire. (imo).
So what currently will appreciate in value?
8/ Whatever is early/significant/great art imo.
So I'm going to @niftygateway and checking art I like from artists/brands that I think will continue to do big things.
And picking up their 'first drops'.
9/ example,
- Beeple coz everyone wants one.
- OG Esports - because I think they were the first major esports to drop NFTs and if the Dota/gamer industry blows up, this may be the first drop
- Same with genies - Mesut Ozil, (a play on the genies project being HUGE).
10/ And ofcourse many other epic artists.
A lot of artists that have dropped art in 2018,2019, 2020 across the other platforms I also think will appreciate as people learn more and get a piece of history.
So I'm across all of them and already have a ton of art there.
11/ And cryptopunks were pre-NFTs. The first 10,000 digital pixelated art ever released on the Ethereum blockchain.
Seems like large new entrepreneurs/investors DO value them, (this was a doubt earlier),
I bought some. If they can stay relevant which they clearly are.
12/ My strat is based on the below assumptions,
- This is the start of a HUGE shift to go digital
- Early releases of artists that will continue to push will be valuable
- This market will stay liquid
- This market won't be effected heavily with crypto price swings
13/
- Christies auction will change the game, (again).
There are ofcourse massive risks
- Other industries, (NFT Gaming, etc), will take the attention away/will put a stop to the Art hype. Since a lot of buyers are flippers/opportunists.
14/ But the industry seems huge now and I think these niches will become independant of each other whether gaming, art, virtual land, etc.
Like I said, please be cautious, I'm risk on and love experimenting and accelerating new tech!
DYOR and be safe.
