Truly amazing how those who spent 5 years studiously avoiding reading Trump's tweets claim to be such experts on @neeratanden's.
Tanden scrapped with both Republicans and some lefties, but yeah, it seems that some who were happy to throw punches for their camp don't like to be even elbowed, if the person with sharp elbows is a woman, and a woman of color:
As for @JoeManchinWV, he's doing this to display his Blue Dog heterodoxy, but honestly, does anyone think Tanden's tweets matter one iota to his constituents? It's the most inside-the-Beltway posturing ever.
Manchin voted to confirm Rich Grennell one of the most toxic trolls to ever be in office, and even #onhere.
So...why do the comparatively anodyne tweets of this woman, this woman of color, represent some sort of civility Rubicon?
They don't.
What exactly are the red-letter tweets that Tanden is guilty of? Because give me a minute, I'll find ones that are so so so much worse from various people that Manchin and GOP Senators voted to confirm.
Women and people of color get unfairly dinged for being uppity.

Admission time: I didn't know dishwashers have a drain trap to clean out and, after 10 years, I just did that and it was horrifying.
Also white vinegar is a magical elixir for all things cleaning.
Glad to see that even among my middle-aged peers I'm not alone. So here are two links to get you on your way. bobvila.com/articles/how-t…
I'm a "rise the shit out of dishes before they go in washer" person, which is the only reason that this thing still works and we haven't died of some kind of cross contamination.
A big, maybe even the biggest, reason we're in this hyper-partisan, post-truth, conspiracy reality is because of the destruction and underfunding of legit reporting media, up and down the food chain.
I feel like #TexasFreeze folks could use some tips from people used to extreme cold. No better source on that than dog sledder @BlairBraverman. Here's her thread
Watching “Ace in the Hole,” my rec for my movie club. Very cynical film about journalism, directed by Billy Wilder, starring Kirk Douglas, costume by Edith Head.
