Why would Pakistan agree to ceasefire now ? Firing on LoC and pushing of terrorists into Indian territory is business as usual for them. What changed ?

1. Biden administration would like to have a strong military base in Pakistan now, to counter Iran and manage China’ growth in
in the region. Actually boots on ground and planes in sky will help this a lot. Also, since India’s air strikes proved that we can go inside Pak, US wouldn’t want to have a base where things can go volatile any moment.

2. Also a sign of change of government. Biden is very pro
Pak but has major leaning towards Zardari. By ensuring peace on LoC with India, Bajwa and Imran’s possibility of anything dramatically surprising to both India and US is reduced a lot. They wont break peace now for the fear of losing support from US. And that takes away from them
the possibility of heroics to win popular votes, riding on anti India emotions. Forced to play a game now!

3. Pakistan’s economy is on brink of bankruptcy. Wouldn’t be surprised if some donor nation would’ve agreed only after back channel agreement of payment post ceasefire with
India. One can believe that Indian diplomacy can achieve that. Plus it’s a huge cost for Pak to maintain this war against India. But this will surely see a spike in anti India propaganda in media and SM. Keep some front active and compensate for other fronts too.

4. Pak Army is
having a rough time in Balochistan and Afghanistan borders. Maybe they need a quieter border on one side to focus on the deployments for immediate threats.

5. Pakistan is trying to revive its image by doing this. Expect a invitation to open bilateral dialogues soon with India.
This will be done only to prove their peace loving status to woo investors, #FATF, donors etc.

6. Worst case scenario for India - Pakistan is taking a halt as directed by Chinese to take a step back and plan and reorg. China too did this. The ceasefire may be a big facade to
get India comfortable and casual on both fronts, and surprise us in a coordinated attack. Far fetched, but who knows !

It could be one or combination of many factors, or even none of these. Only thing I’m sure of is that they surely don’t have India’s welfare in mind, and this
could be a ruse altogether from their end. Not even for one second, India should trust them. Rather stay more alert now. Pak is a habitual and regular ceasefire violator and that should never be forgotten.
Just in - US attacked Iran backed militia’s base in Syria. Guess US definitely IS planning to tackle Iran now. That base theory in first tweet of thread might just be a reality soon. Time will tell !
Some more deliberation on this led to another angle. While the step may have been taken on China’s directions, it still has a larger sinister plan in background. Couple of days back we reviewed the Rutog base in China, the new forward garrison that has immense capabilities
in terms of speedy and sizeable deployment in Ladakh region. This happened post India-China agreement to disengage and de-escalate the region. But since China just stepped a few steps back to consolidate its position at these bases, same could be said for Pakistan. Chinese might
want to help build new massive bases on PoK’s side, having easy access and permissions anyway, and this ceasefire is a enabler of sorts to ensure uninterrupted and non violent military construction and development of the area. Just a thought !

Firstly, the Range has not been vacated yet.
Secondly, it’s a threat to Chinese only if they are also deployed there and planning to move ahead. If they’ve moved back then we are just sitting there in middle of nowhere twiddling thumbs! We aren’t an endless resources nation. The
deployment has to match its value in threat perception. There’s a reason we don’t place soldiers on every inch. Limited resources have to be employed effectively. The Mutual disengagement means that the overall threat perception from both sides is reduced in South #Pangong and
overall #Ladakh region.
Making Chinese step back from F4-5 to F8 and assurances of dismantling infra, plus ushering in a stable environment in South Pangong should be considered a major diplomatic win. Every critic was saying this will become the new normal now. It did not,

Disengagement plan, as clarified by @rajnathsingh ji, is still in progress. There is another meeting within next 48 hours to finalise the final terms. However what’s clear is that we will maintain n dominate near F3 and Chinese will be at F8 on North Pangong area. The patrolling
will resume only after certain more terms have been agreed upon. Which means F3 to F8 will be a buffer zone for now. Given the fact that Chinese had built solid structures and defences right upto F4, this is a good progress for North bank, ensuring their step back to F8. The
Southern bank status is not clear as of now. But as everyone is saying - why should we give up heights that we control ?
Firstly, not every military plan is shared with public. We may not even know what all angles are being considered while this planning. So assuming that

The whole plot seems to have written a ‘Lame PR exercise’ all over it planned by Congress, and the critical meeting with PR agency could’ve happened in RaGa’s quick Europe trip, seeing the timing. Aim is to generate anti Indian gov feeling across the world. #Farmer’s protest
protest issue is now being taken across the world to hit the popularity of PM Modi and present government. The PR agency handling this must’ve been paid to only focus on biggest Handles on social media, irrespective of what they do. Porn stars, IG influencers, climate activist,
musician, singer ...doesn’t matter. If you have followers, just go ahead and tweet. The language itself is a direct giveaway. Various tweets from these celebs are using words like ‘ Bhakts, Media censor, paid actors’ etc etc which doesn’t happen unless you’re deeply engaged and

If citizens are the viewers of a movie called @PMOIndia in cinema hall called Gov, these are various types of critics on Twitter :
1. Genuine fans : They are fully committed and would criticise only when they feel the movie could be better. “ Great movie, but too many songs”.
2. Neutral lot : They view the government as just another government meant to serve the nation and people and save their criticism only on issues didn’t serve them well. “ It’s okay movie but I didn’t like the Hero at all. Mood kharab kar diya”.
3. Haters : They’ve been forced to watch the movie because it’s the only cinema hall and only movie and they will keep cribbing throughout the movie, irrespective of what’s good and bad. “ what is this stupid music ..what is this acting..why this scene..why that actor”.

There’s a reason India has so far kept itself at arm’s length on chaos in Afghanistan and should continue to do so. Especially now, India definitely shouldn’t meddle in US- Pak-Afghanistan boiling kettle. For one, we can clearly see what happened to Pak, another next door
neighbour to Afghanistan once the violence started to spill over across the border. India also is pretty close to ground Zero, and Pakistan would be more than happy to divert Taliban’s/other factions’ action and attention to India, should we jump in. Secondly, we have a very
healthy relationship with Afghan government. Why would we create an opportunity of losing that bonhomie by aggressive stance? Our non participation is our support to them and it’s been appreciated so far. And finally, Biden will favour Pak a lot and expect it to take on the
