I don’t understand the leftist complaints about biden when he’s shown himself early to constantly avoid the easy plays and instead make the bold move to take the fight to the GOP where they least want it. ok I understand it but still
he also did this in a way that is frankly next to impossible to argue with, it’s objectively pro labor but in language that you have to immediately show your cards if you want to paint it as radical. oh so you think workers shouldn’t be allowed to choose free of intimidation?
he’s not stepping in glue here saying workers SHOULD unionize, he’s simply saying hey let them choose for themselves and companies shouldn’t intimidate them. it’s classic biden finding the 70% support zone

and that’s not a left or right thing, it’s just a basic strategy reagan took that he never staked out a position in a way that hurt him more than it helped him, he picked the ground he wanted to fight on, and he drove his opponents nuts doing it
if the gop actually had any professionals left who know how the game works they’d be pulling every alarm on the switchboard right now over how effectively biden is eating their lunch, but...they don’t
