For some of us, the stock market just got exciting this year. For others — 53% of US families to be exact — stock trading has been a mainstay of home economics.
Stock ownership is far from equal. @USAFacts found:
• The average white investor owns over 3x more stock than Black or Hispanic investors.
• Investors 65+ own 43% of the market.
• 61% of white families own stock, 34% of Black families, and 24% of Hispanic families.
• And:
Throughout his presidency, Donald Trump loved to repeat the claim that “everybody” owns stocks.
