#Greece: A pro-gov journalist posted the following poll on the matter of the hunger + thirst strike of a prisoner who is now on renal failure.
Her comment: Some say that "society is divided" (implies that 70% of society supports the murder of a prisoner by the Greek gov).
Her lack of understanding of institutions and principles is astounding. She is a typical sample of what passes as a mainstream journalist in #Greece.
Tweets below hers, point out that human rights violations by the government cannot be discussed through polls. Ever.
The shitshow is about to unfold in #Greece, where the economy has contracted 8.5% officially (for 2020).
The government needs this prisoner murder because they want riots to break out. They will then sell "law and order" to their conservative voters who are abandoning ship.
Btw, according to Varoufakis, the real contraction of the Greek economy is above 11%.
The reason is that the incompetent government killed the economy in order to prevent covid spread. People are dying, while party members are stealing vaccines.
In February, a huge scandal broke out: the head of the Greek national theater, hand picked by the Greek prime Minister, is now in jail for multiple rapes of minors.
Their conservative voters would not mind about this if the victims had been girls. They were not.
The prime Minister's problem is that this serial rapist he appointed to lead the Greek national theater reminded everyone of his good trusted friend Nikos Georgiades, convicted for sex with trafficked minors. Two party members even went to court to defend him. Really nasty.
The situation is getting out of hand and the only way out, since #Greece can't start a war like the USA, is to provoke riots. Sort of like a civil war between those who protest and robocops.
The Greek government is killing a prisoner in the hope of social explosion.
The @hellenicpolice is crushing a peaceful protest against the State murder of hunger-striker prisoner D. Koufontinas.
Otherwise they have to explain why people are dying without intensive care units, why they did not hire doctors, why the economy contracted 11.7%, why they only hire new cops and fund the church.
The @hellenicpolice assaulting a professional journalist / photographer who was doing his job, today in #Athens, #Greece. Because of ZERO accountability.
This is "normality" for @neademokratia regime. It's a disgrace.
People would perhaps be more understanding if they did not witness the party members of @neademokratia being vaccinated ahead of medical staff and senior citizens.
For example, here is the journo of my first tweet @marianapirgioti getting her shot BEFORE doctors / nurses.
#Greece is a regime which bans demonstrations de facto. The @hellenicpolice attack a peaceful crowd of lawyers and start to beat them up.
The government wants a riot because that's where they plan to use their weapon: 500 cops per capita, top of #EU.

#Athens#Greece: the Mayor (nephew of the current prime-minister with high political ambitions of his own) cut off a piece of a central artery and painted the road to claim he "created a bike-road".
