The “Big Lie” was based on lies about Dominion Voting. But unbeknownst to the public, it was another vendor’s security practices that had triggered an urgent & quiet EAC investigation 40 days before the election. The vendor? ES&S. by @jennycohn1/ whowhatwhy.org/2021/03/08/ele…
This is my new piece for @WhoWhatWhy. I want to thank their editors for working so hard on this with me. There were so many documents that it took three months to finish. I link to some of the most startling documents in the piece. 2/ whowhatwhy.org/2021/03/08/ele…
3/ “‘Under the current guidance from ES&S, an insider now knows specifically which file is not being inspected. It’s similar to a bank robber knowing that the camera covering teller #3 is broken.’” - internal email produced by Texas Secretary of State to @whowhatwhy
4/ “It is the ultimate ‘fox watching the henhouse’ scenario. It is them [ES&S] self-certifying systems for use.” — internal email produced to me by the Texas Secretary of State.
😳Voting machine vendor ES&S has conducted its own hash testing, the crucial process for confirming a vendor has supplied its customer w/ certified software, as opposed to, for example, vote flipping software — a “Fox in the henhouse” scenario per one examiner. 5/

I requested a copy of the livestream where Texas examiners learned that voting machine vendor ES&S was using an uncertified method to install software & that software installed w/ this method failed hash-validation testing. They are hiding behind a belated privacy objection. 1/
The objection is belated bc the copy of the livestream is encompassed by my original request send December 9! When they didn’t produce it, I asked about it February 14. They are pretending February 14 is the date of my request. 2/

Honestly, what more can be said to wake up Democrats? HR1 would allow these ES&S touchscreen voting machines & doesn’t even require manual audits. I’m sure it’s better than the sh#t system we currently have, but damn it’s not enough. We continue flirting w/ the end of democracy.

Dear @HouseDemocrats & @SenateDems:

#HR1 requires that the voter “have the option to mark his or her ballot by hand.”

Pls add the following clause at the end for clarity: “whether voting by mail or in person.” TY!

@RepTedLieu @katieporteroc @RonWyden 1/
2/ Under this proposed edit, #HR1 would require that the voter “have the option to mark his or her ballot by hand, whether voting by mail or in person.” #HandMarkedPaperBallots
Without this clarifying language, jurisdictions cld still force all in person voters to use risky touchscreen voting machines called ballot marking devices (BMDs), as long as vote by mail is also an option. That won’t suffice to protect election integrity & faith in elections. 3/

Yike. Paul Manafort intended for the Trump campaign's polling data to go to Serhiy Lyovochkin. Per the NYT in 2005, Lyovochkin was involved in the conspiracy to HACK ELECTRONIC ELECTION RESULTS in Ukraine's 2004 presidential election. 1/ archive.nytimes.com/www.nytimes.co… Image

3/ According to the NYT piece in post 1, Viktor Medvedchuk (a key Putin ally) was also involved in the hacking of Ukraine's 2004 election. He, too, was reportedly in touch with the Trump campaign in 2016, though he denied it. reuters.com/article/us-usa… Image

Fun fact: @GOP is using talking points from Ben Shapiro who used to circulate pro-Yanukovich talking points while at Breitbart. Yanukovich was Manafort’s client in Ukraine. He was ousted & lives in Russia in exile. These people will say anything for money. They are all dirty. 1/
3/ Ben Shapiro used to work for Breitbart.
