All this is just reminding me of how many cases of male violence I’ve worked on where men got excused for the most fucking ridiculous reasons.

One guy had loads of Cat A images of babies and was spared a custodial or suspended cos he wanted to emigrate to Australia!!

Another guy had sexually abused his infant daughter and filmed the offences and was also spared a custodial because he said he only did it because he was depressed

I mean. What the fuck.

The countless cases I worked on where men had beaten and abused their wives and girlfriends because ‘they pushed their buttons’

Honestly I used to just sit there SEETHING

One guy got away with it because he said his missus ate the last pack of cheese and onion crisps and he ‘just saw red’

You have to work in the CJS to see the shit defence teams and perps come out with

‘Yeah I did throw her across the room but she ate a pack of crisps I wanted later’

Just read another one in the news, a man sexually attacked a woman as she walked home and has been spared custodial because ‘he would lose his job’

Dude works in a fucking takeaway.

Woman hasn’t left her house since the attack.

Ruth Williams husband after killing her said he only did it because he was worried about finances and paying the mortgage.

Except they didn’t have a fucking mortgage and he had £120k in the bank.

But sure.

Dealt with another where Dad has sexually abused his kids friends but court ruled he wasn’t a risk to his own kids?

Then told the kids to all put locks on their fucking bedroom doors to stop dad raping them at night
