They may indeed have blood on their hands but ask a simple question. Do they care? The answer is probably "No" .

So how do we change the power imbalance and enable justice? Perhaps I have a solution.

A debate rages in the British Medical Journal on the concept of "Social Murder". A firm definition has yet emerge but it entails:

A person in authority, coercing public action, under the guise of public health, that is knowingly murderous based on available evidence. ....2/

Certainly, murder in its various forms has been carefully codified by the legal profession. So why not "Social Murder"? Is their a group of enterprising lawyers who would like to take on the task? ......3/

If "Social Murder" were legally defined and codified, then the populous would have a check on the power of public health. Actions could after the fact be judged within a legal framework that defines criminality. Penalties could be applied.......4/

So when public health officers (@OPHA_Ontario and @CPHO_Canada) willfully promote extended lockdowns, that are knowingly ineffective but cause secondary death, they could be committing "Social Murder" .....5/

Further, if members of the Ontario Science Table willfully presented modeling data that is demonstrably false, they would be aiding "Social Murder"? In essence, they would be accomplices and these destructive actions could also be defined and codified......6/

There are positive aspects to this idea. First, the heavy hand of the criminal code would constrain public health officials. Second, it would force greater transparency and the use of Cost-Benefit analysis. Evidence based medicine would take center stage......7/

Lastly, it would help rebuild and then maintain "trust" in political governance and public health. This trust has been badly shattered by the abusive and unchecked use of power. An idea worthy of further contemplation. End.
