guess @PWCSChairman decided he wanted 5 days a week so told @InsideNoVA that’s happening

Not on the agenda tonight... hasn’t talked to other board members but Lateef has always thought he runs this board and doesn’t need any input from those WE ELECTED. insidenova.com/headlines/prin…
It’s sad to see this man think he has so much power and keep BLINDSIDING HIS OWN MEMBERS @LisaforColes @justindavidwilk @jenwallforpwcs @LoreeYWilliams @LillieGJessie43 @Diane4Neabsco did y’all know you had decided to do 5 days a week all in-person-whose in the good ole boy club
Tonight watch to see who knew, who had speeches prepared, who is blindsided

Promise you it will be mostly the women on the Board that Lateef doesn’t feel will agree with him

Because Lateef regularly excludes anyone who doesn’t agree with him from the decision making process
Then only invites a select group of women into his good ole boy club

I wonder if they plan to blindside all the people at @PWCSNews who are working their butts off to prepare and will inevitably get this thrown last minute in their face
Because @PWCSChairman cannot stand that Fairfax beat him to in-person, EVERY THING IS FOR THE PRESS AND RE-ELECTION

This is all a show and the teachers and staff and Kelly leadership all are at his whims
It doesn’t matter that it would not make sense to make this decision now... it only matters that Fairfax beat him to it and now Lateef’s ego says “get the press... you need to do this for the next campaign”
Kid you not this man has called people to cry and complain and cuss about my tweets AS IF MY TWEETS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVERYTHING ELSE GOING ON- telling people he’s coming for me... AND THEY TELL ME BECAUSE NO ONE IS LOYAL TO YOU... 🤷🏾‍♀️
your constant backstabbing doesn’t create loyalty

Maybe instead of calling people about tweets or making plans to take anyone who utters a bad word about you down you could talk to your members, be a leader, and make plans with input
Get Kelly leadership on board instead of constantly blindsiding them and having them scramble as if they aren’t busy enough
Maybe... do that

And just because you aren’t quoted doesn’t mean it’s not you... it’s transparent who would feel the urge to call the paper and it’s almost always you
Views are my own because someone else here is so use to this it doesn’t even bother or surprise

I spoke out yesterday in the Black alumni @virginia_tech group about how my Black student was awarded $0 in aid

I was told there is not a large pot for merit aid and we need to fundraise

Last night it was made known that a student who is incredibly wealthy was awarded $$$$
Wealthy as in did not apply for any financial aid, because they knew they did not need any

Wealthy as in their car is worth 2x-3x more than tuition

Wealthy as in their computer and equipment was worth 2x-3x tuition
If Black students matter than Black students must be awarded aid

If this were any other university I would have put them on blast the minute it happened. I have tried to rectify it but have had no luck

Conversation with @AnnaIvey "if it is safe to test, test. If not, don't lose sleep over it." 100% agree. Most of my students are playing sports and going to in-person events so I tell them you if you are already taking risks then if you feel like you want to test do 1 or 2
But if you don't want to add another risk or aren't taking risks, don't test. Testing does not really add that much value. Ask the colleges on your list "will I lose out on aid and scholarship opportunities if I don't submit a score"
Ask if any Presidential or big scholarship winners won without scores

if they have a number of applicants who were accepted without scores last semester

if you are not comfortable with testing but your college is limiting opportunities, ask them to reconsider their policies

After yet another incident with a rising education celeb, this time Emily Paschall, I realized it would be a mistake to just address this at a micro level...

The problematic educeleb that silences or ignores dissent is a macro issue

1/
Which is why, I have decided to pull ALL the receipts and write a piece which has the current working title

Educelebrity and the culture of silence: why white educators and their institutions ignore and/or silence educators of color and their allies 2/
And when I mean I am pulling receipts I mean we are going full Bye Sisters/No More Lies/Breaking My Silence that will send your faves into a Shane Dawson spiral.

Shout out to my educators who know all that mess dram

I’m going to focus the early part of the week on affirming Black Educators but I AM COMING BACK TO @educationweek
more of Julie- this is the diversity @educationweek values. She has targeted this Black educator for MONTHS, told her followers to harass him and @educationweek gave her not one, not two, BUT THREE blogs

Black Lives Matter but Black educators can be HARASSED VIA EDUCATION WEEK
Hey @ADL can you explain to @educationweek why it’s inappropriate to spread and actually harmful to spread, publish, and promote conspiracy theory that Black Lives Matter promotes anti-semitism. Stop publishing lies that are designed to divide us

Once again and for the record

There is no evidence in common data that when a test is removed an essay or a recommendation takes it place

The essay was always gamed... Before now... Pretending this is new is foolish.
Just because WSJ says essays weigh more because some college consultant making a buck claims it doesn't mean it is true
The essays will weigh the same amount because the scores are not as important as the test prep industry wants you to believe

Everyone gets to decide how to heal from their trauma. a counter voice was presented in @educationweek-no shade on that

@educationweek has not removed the article of Julie. Julie showed who she was- she moved on to defending TJ’s admission policy that excluded Black applicants Image
That’s right... Julie went from mocking a Black educator, being amplified by @educationweek on saying leave your life mattering at home, to siding with those defending a TJHS applicant process that produced no Black applicants this year
Meanwhile, as a direct result of my inability stay silent, I am now being targeted by the anti-w*ke (have to star it to prevent more) army whose views would be embraced by guess who (can’t say it because I’ll be targeted)
