2/ @MetPoliceEvents are currently escorting anti lockdown protesters through central London.
Suddenly they're not very keen on wrestling people to the ground....
3/ The protest in central London appears to have a very big contingent of COVID deniers and anti maskers.
Piers Corbyn started it claiming it's all a hoax & that the vaccine id going to kill hundreds of thousands. @MetPoliceEvents did NOTHING bar arrest someone filming Corbyn.
1/ THREAD It's upsetting as a disabled person with a son who has Autism to see @novaramedia media ignoring the backlash from @AaronBastani's interview with Peter Singer
He says disabled babies aren't equal to non disabled kids &
those with learning disabilities can't be raped
2/ I like @novaramedia on some things, which is why it's even more disappointing they've not said anything in response.
Disabled people are often used as a campaign tool, but when we raise concerns, we're ignored.
Singer has a long history if frankly abhorrent ableism. See next
3/ Singer in his 1979 book; Practical Ethics
“Human babies are not born self-aware, or capable of grasping that they exist over time. They are not persons the life of a newborn is of less value than the life of a pig, a dog, or a chimpanzee.”
