ส่วนใหญ่ก็เป็นนักศึกษาและแรงงานรุ่นใหม่ที่มาสู้กับรัฐ ไม่ใช่แค่คนชาติพันธุ์พม่า ชนกลุ่มน้อยทางชาติพันธุ์ก็ได้มาเข้าร่วมตั้งแต่แรก (มีคนเข้าร่วมการประท้วงจากทุกด้านของสังคม โดยเฉพาะราชการฝ่ายพลเรือน แต่ไม่ได้มาร่วมด้วยวิธีลงถนนเสมอไป) 2/

The following is from a conversation with 3 protest organisers in Yangon. A student organiser, a leftist organiser and an ethnic minority community defence organiser. 1/

Right now, what type of people are involved in the protest?
It’s mostly students and young workers fighting the state. Not only ethnic Burmese, but ethnic minority groups have been participating since the beginning. 2/

(There are also people joining strikes from all walks of society, particularly the civil service, but not necessarily fighting in the streets). 3/
