During the past 5 years since Trump's election, did U.S. address their own history of staged coups and unrests in other countries? When the Capitol was run over on January 6, did they see similarities to what their elected governments and CIA's perverted culture did in the past?
Was just thinking again about the Syrian war. The sudden urbanisation which led to more poverty in the cities and to unrest didn't originate in the worst drought in 900 years but in Assad's water privatisation(!) in the early 2000s. And it worsened when the friendly ties were cut
between EU and Syria in 2009, after Israel and likely CIA, staged that 3 week war, involving a Turkish aid vessel.
EU has to side with Israel, no matter what, which nicely duped Erdogan, until then mediator of the budding Syrian-EU friendship.
Turkey pulled away, then Syria.
And EU's own strategy for middle east died. Which was the very goal of the US-Israel alliance, I reckon. EU shan't meddle with US' and CIA's sociopathic power games.

And hence, there was no EU aid for Syria in the worst drought in 900 years.

Oh, and the water privatisation?
The water privatisation in the early 2000s right after Assad had taken over from his father was straight out of the gospel according to neoclassic. Another evil fuckery the West imposes on other nations, with US and CIA at the helm. #Chile.
I hope, US electorate smartens up, now
But they won't smarten up if US journalists don't pull away the fraudulent curtain of "Greatest Country in the World!"

There they are again. Journalists. The power brokers. The educators for the public.
They've got a lot to put right.
A hell of a lot to undo past brainwash.

@All_Day_SCIfi Recently, I began to think that maybe, we should stop expecting solutions from economists, altogether. Either, their chosen ideology etched its sociopathic paradigms into their souls. Or they're naive dreamers and won't do more than singing ballads about a better world and "2050"
@All_Day_SCIfi Where does it come from anyway, this, our hailing economics as important and viewing it as a credible science?
The false narrative stems from fraudulent framing of the Swedish Rijksbank's Nobel Memorial Prize into "Nobel Prize for Economics"to con their way into illustre circles
@All_Day_SCIfi But in reality, macro economists have no clue about the subject, about the ins and outs, and how to change the system if need arises. So. What's the use in hoping for workable solutions for the climate, ecological, and humanitarian crises from them? Hope is unfounded, I reckon.

@ethicalfeast @jasonhickel AFIK, DeGrowth policies would address this pitfall but are missing We'll have to curb other economic activity to ramp up global RE infrastructure, its production facilities and its transport – while not increasing but reducing CO2e at LEAST 50% by 2030.
@ethicalfeast @jasonhickel How to meet RE increase reqs and GHG reduction reqs: this sort of practical and very urgent policy proposals are missing from Degrowth lit.
Also missing: proposals of how to quickly & safely (!) steer away from the irresponsible stock/financial market:
@ethicalfeast @jasonhickel I'm fond of this model study Thought-thru, with proposals drawn only from policies already in place in the wild. It's ambitious, while possibly soft enough to gain majorities.
But its gros ff CO2 is really a 2˚C budget. So even this effort doesn't suffice

If #EUGreendeal #GND new infrastructure, its production & transport, adds to current world emissions, and if workers spend earnings on climate sabotage, we're fucked. We've GOT to reduce 50% of CO2e (e !) by 2030.
Stray only a little and the task will fail.eenews.net/stories/106372…
"Irony of Biden's climate plan is that a blitz of construction and manufacturing would almost certainly drive emissions up, at least in the short term"

There's only 1 answer: safely curb global economic activity so 50% less CO2e (e !) by 2030 has a chance.
"Democrats' answer to that paradox is twofold: Clean up American manufacturing and source everything domestically."
The direction of thought is correct. But it's not the thought that counts. CO2e emissions count. And don't forget: not only US and EU are increasing infrastructure

Think about it: With a history of corrupt consulting contracts, VonDerLeyen lets Blackrock write EU's definition on which projects are green energy! Why?! EC has 1000s employees! #CDUkorrupt
And Blackrock got insider knowledge and bought/sold shares accordingly? Same in US
As layperson I'm not sure what it means: "BlackRock ...contract to study how the EU could best integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into its banking supervision." I assume, ESG is EC-wide, not only banking. theguardian.com/business/2020/…. theguardian.com/business/2020/….
Outsourcing sensitive groundwork alone is typical for #CDUkorrupt and must have the correct consequences for @VonDerLeyen: she must step down. She can't be trusted. Her moral compass is totally broken. Typical for CDU CSU.

And on top: deception / greenwashing gas is criminal!

Lesenswert!

Do we have proof? Ja. We can draw from how our elected governments acted in the pandemic: too little too late, always pro-companies not pro-people, corrupt for their own profit in the case of Merkel's CDU CSU, touting voluntary action whereas regulatory enforcement saves lives,..
#2 Do we have proof? Ja. We can draw from their actions in the pandemic.
Although a pandemic is clearly a global and at least a regional rather than national issue, our govts do not act accordingly but leave it to people's voluntary decision not to travel.
#3 Do we have proof? Ja. We can draw from their actions in the pandemic.
Although a pandemic is a global not national issue, our govts do not act like it. In egotistic nationalism worsening the fallout, PPE & vaccines for global medical staff is denied.
