Read these prophetic words of St. John Paul II and see if you can find a description of #USA society:
"This view of #freedom [which exalts the individual in an absolute way] leads to a serious distortion of #life in society.... #prophecy THREAD 1/5

THREAD Turkish occupation of Haifa, Mount Carmel and its effect on the Discalced Carmelites 1. Forced Exile 1914
The nuns learn 4 November that their fate is no longer in the hands of their long-time benefactor, the French consul 🇫🇷 but now they answer to the USA vice-consul 🇺🇸
2. Forced Exile: When an impatient Turkish soldier forced his way onto the property for an inspection on the eve of the nuns' departure, he investigated the Hermitage of Elijah. A snake emerged from the darkness and nearly struck the Turk. He fled in haste, the nuns rejoiced.
3. Forced Exile: The Carmelite nuns dreamed of martyrdom on Mt Carmel like their 13th c. hermit ancestors. The USA consulate would not permit that. 30 November 1914 the nuns departed for France by way of Rome - taking a long way around because of mines in the water

> in 1948, of a total population of 98,284, Jews numbered 94,718." bit.ly/Friedman1948🇻🇦

THREAD 1/ @threadreaderapp unroll
.@silviojbaez states: dialog is the means to overcome destructive relationships that see the other person not only as a simple adversary, but as an enemy and only an enemy; one who has no family; one whose feelings or projects are not considered, because he/she is not human
2/
.@silviojbaez "We mustn't forget that the fundamental principle that should guide coexistence even in the toughest moments of a conflict is the inviolable dignity of the human being & that under no circumstances is the vulnerability or aggression to another person justified"
