(2/5) Out of the 108 new cases, 0 cases are imported, 22 cases are local transmission with a known contact & the other 86 cases are currently classified as under investigation with no immediate link to travel or local cases. There have been 15 recoveries since the last update.
(3/5) The average age of all currently active cases is 40 years (median: 39 years) & the ages range from less than ten (10) years (age group: 0-9 years) to greater than 80 years (age group: 80-100 years). The total number of confirmed cases in #Bermuda over the last year is 1400.
(4/5) With the significant number of new cases reported over the past 2 weeks, the rapid increase in hospitalisations we’re experiencing is alarming, but not unexpected. #Bermuda’s Rt number has stopped increasing & is now declining, & the test positivity rate is also falling.
