Since all ‘experts’ are very excited to talk about why we should review the training, tactics, formation, counter ambush drills etc now, I thought let me give a counter to those who’ve never sat down in an ambush and thankfully never suffered any. Firstly, if you
end up being ambushed upon, by even a mid level tactician, that too an opportunity ambush, you’ll rarely live to tell the tale. Forget about a well planned one by a good planner.
There are many types of ambushes. But for a layman, let’s say you choose the location, site the
Weapons, place your troops, cut off all exit grounds, place mines, bombard the area with lead and grenades and fill the entire kill zone with everything you have. Now try walking out of that !
Yes, the best counter is to fight back. But when you’re suddenly bombarded with so much
lethal firepower and you see people getting hit all around you, the first reaction is to take cover. And from the other side, the enemy will plan an ambush where you have least cover.
I speak from experience of being part of unit that killed 102 terrorists in just fifteen
months. Highly skilled and motivated troops. And we had only one ambush on us and we lost an officer and few more injured. The team couldn’t kill anyone in retaliation that time. Later we got back, is a different story.
The impact of being fired upon can’t be effectively put
in words. It’s stunning, numbing and very shocking. Takes a second for everyone to regain composure. And if in that first couple of seconds, you and others have been hit, you really can’t do much.
What anti Naxal forces need is very solid EW systems. They need great Int networks
, and most importantly this mindless patrolling has to stop. You don’t gain much by bunching together and walking around the jungle to prove area is dominated. It isn’t ! They need better leadership and focused operations. They need new weapons and equipment. They need freedom
to operate and strike. It’s when all these are available, then talk about tactics and drills. Don’t expect soldiers to deliver when they aren’t commanded or equipped properly. Red corridor is one of the biggest internal threats in India and by not addressing it, we are not only
enabling the enemy but also losing brave and competent soldiers regularly.
Prayers for every soldiers who lost his life and those recovering from injuries. May this be the last of such incidents and gov wakes up to take this menace head on. Jai Hind 🙏

Why would Pakistan agree to ceasefire now ? Firing on LoC and pushing of terrorists into Indian territory is business as usual for them. What changed ?

1. Biden administration would like to have a strong military base in Pakistan now, to counter Iran and manage China’ growth in
in the region. Actually boots on ground and planes in sky will help this a lot. Also, since India’s air strikes proved that we can go inside Pak, US wouldn’t want to have a base where things can go volatile any moment.

2. Also a sign of change of government. Biden is very pro
Pak but has major leaning towards Zardari. By ensuring peace on LoC with India, Bajwa and Imran’s possibility of anything dramatically surprising to both India and US is reduced a lot. They wont break peace now for the fear of losing support from US. And that takes away from them

Firstly, the Range has not been vacated yet.
Secondly, it’s a threat to Chinese only if they are also deployed there and planning to move ahead. If they’ve moved back then we are just sitting there in middle of nowhere twiddling thumbs! We aren’t an endless resources nation. The
deployment has to match its value in threat perception. There’s a reason we don’t place soldiers on every inch. Limited resources have to be employed effectively. The Mutual disengagement means that the overall threat perception from both sides is reduced in South #Pangong and
overall #Ladakh region.
Making Chinese step back from F4-5 to F8 and assurances of dismantling infra, plus ushering in a stable environment in South Pangong should be considered a major diplomatic win. Every critic was saying this will become the new normal now. It did not,

Disengagement plan, as clarified by @rajnathsingh ji, is still in progress. There is another meeting within next 48 hours to finalise the final terms. However what’s clear is that we will maintain n dominate near F3 and Chinese will be at F8 on North Pangong area. The patrolling
will resume only after certain more terms have been agreed upon. Which means F3 to F8 will be a buffer zone for now. Given the fact that Chinese had built solid structures and defences right upto F4, this is a good progress for North bank, ensuring their step back to F8. The
Southern bank status is not clear as of now. But as everyone is saying - why should we give up heights that we control ?
Firstly, not every military plan is shared with public. We may not even know what all angles are being considered while this planning. So assuming that

The whole plot seems to have written a ‘Lame PR exercise’ all over it planned by Congress, and the critical meeting with PR agency could’ve happened in RaGa’s quick Europe trip, seeing the timing. Aim is to generate anti Indian gov feeling across the world. #Farmer’s protest
protest issue is now being taken across the world to hit the popularity of PM Modi and present government. The PR agency handling this must’ve been paid to only focus on biggest Handles on social media, irrespective of what they do. Porn stars, IG influencers, climate activist,
musician, singer ...doesn’t matter. If you have followers, just go ahead and tweet. The language itself is a direct giveaway. Various tweets from these celebs are using words like ‘ Bhakts, Media censor, paid actors’ etc etc which doesn’t happen unless you’re deeply engaged and

If citizens are the viewers of a movie called @PMOIndia in cinema hall called Gov, these are various types of critics on Twitter :
1. Genuine fans : They are fully committed and would criticise only when they feel the movie could be better. “ Great movie, but too many songs”.
2. Neutral lot : They view the government as just another government meant to serve the nation and people and save their criticism only on issues didn’t serve them well. “ It’s okay movie but I didn’t like the Hero at all. Mood kharab kar diya”.
3. Haters : They’ve been forced to watch the movie because it’s the only cinema hall and only movie and they will keep cribbing throughout the movie, irrespective of what’s good and bad. “ what is this stupid music ..what is this acting..why this scene..why that actor”.
