The Canadian Proud Boys Found The Most Q-Pilled Lawyer To Challenge Their Terrorist Designation.
It's wild. He's referenced Frazzledrip -- the conspiracy theory that there's a video of Hilary Clinton drinking a kid's blood. @travis_view@QanonAnonymous
The Proud Boys part of this story was first reported by @StewGlobal, who brought it to our attention. We quickly realized from his tweets that this lawyer was deep down the QAnon rabbit-hole. globalnews.ca/news/7731256/o…
An Alberta pastor’s battle with health authorities to ignore COVID-19 guidelines is drawing some troubling figures to a protest this weekend. antihate.ca/church_protest…
1/
We'll be watching on the day to keep you updated on who is on the scene, but here are a few of the figures who have indicated they might be stopping by:
2/
Steven Lane is a founder of the Urban Infidels, a faux-biker hate group he started after leaving the Soldiers of Odin. A regular attendee of Alberta’s protests, he has repeatedly made racist and violent statements online ahead of time. UI is staunchly anti-Muslim. 3/
A regular fixture and small-time organizer for protests held by the racist-right in Ontario, Ron Banerjee has come to the fore as the figurehead of racist Hindu nationalism in Canada. antihate.ca/ron_banerjee_h…
1/
A staple of Ontario's hate movements for years, Banerjee's current goal seems to be to label Sikhs, especially those living in the diaspora, as Khalistani, a term used to denounce Sikhs as being separatists and engaging in acts of terror.
2/
Recently, he posed for photos with attendees at pro-Modi government protests. At another event, Banerjee recorded himself berating a passing group of Sikhs on motorcycles.
#superstraight is the latest in hateful, transphobic, far-right trends to hit the internet intended to cause outrage, harm, and undermine the struggle of the LGBTQ2+ community while seeking mainstream attention.
It’s an op - and you shouldn’t fall for it. 1/
Coined by a TikTok user, the concept is portrayed as a “new sexuality” that describes straight & cis men & women who are only attracted to biological members of the opposite sex
It’s trans, queer & homophobia with a clear intent to upset, harm, radicalize & get media coverage
2/
It picked up steam & landed where common sense & human decency go to die: 4chan. /pol/ jumped on the idea as a radicalization tool while harming trans & queer folks & added the SS lightning bolts to the flag.
“Push super straight. It makes tr****** seethe” one post reads. 3/
A Florida magistrate judge has decided that Paul Miller will remain in custody leading up to his trial. antihate.ca/neo_nazi_paul_…
Miller's day in court was originally meant to weigh if he'd be held in custody before his trial on the original count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. This stems from an incident in 2018.
As the proceedings got underway, the prosecutor added possession charges for a short barrel rifle & 400+ rounds of ammunition found after his property was raided by the FBI. Parts of the rifle were found hidden in a dryer.
3/
Éric Duhaime has excused Islamophobic hate crimes, given lofty coverage to far-right politicians, and worked alongside haters like Faith Goldy. Now, he’s running for office - with the support of three Canadian senators. antihate.ca/sitting_senato…
1/
Best known as a conservative radio host & former Rebel correspondent, Duhaime has a history of making inflammatory and racist comments on the air. He’s now vying for leadership of the Conservative Party of Québec.
2/
He’s argued that racist street gang Atalante’s calls for “remigration,” meaning the deportation of non-white immigrants, was not hateful. And argued the Black community has “few heroes that they can be proud of” & that “when they do have heroes, they turn out to be zeroes.”
