If you’re a #LineOfDuty Fan you might of heard about the QR code Easter egg.

Here is a summary, nothing much in the way of spoilers, but there is a handful of videos on YouTube which go into more detail if you really want to go that route.
@jdpoc A few weeks ago a few people were posting cryptic messages connecting #LineOfDuty with a QR code. It took folks quite a while to find it without guidance but it’s there on the magazine cover which highlighted the murdered journalist.
@jdpoc Some people have had more technical skills than me and have screencappec this QR code, cleaned it up, and scanned it which takes you to a website which give you this:
@jdpoc The important point here, people are saying, is the identity of the new Chief Constable. Philip Osborne. He was Steve Arnott’s boss way back in series 1. Recognise him now?

This goes right back to Series 1, Episode 1 Scene 1.
@jdpoc On this page is also the next link, another web page: which gives you this, a copy of a prescription issued to Steve Arnott. Down at the bottom you’ll see something that doesn’t usually appear on prescription forms: a line of Morse code.
@jdpoc Once decoded this guide you to a short video on Vimeo, which I don’t think has been shown on the show.
@jdpoc In the description of this video is another link. This takes you to an image hosting site, and a gift with four messages as follows, the last one being a link.
@jdpoc So where does the link take you? It takes you to a very high resolution image of the incident board in the AC 12 office. Any clues here? Yes. The yellow post-it note is new. And that contains a bit.ly address.
@jdpoc This latest clue leads you to an unlisted video on the BBC iPlayer website. This contains a scene which was either deleted, or is still to be shown. For that reason, I’m not going to show that scene.
@jdpoc … And after that, you get a little phone message from Ted Hastings telling you that you now have enough information to crack the case.
@jdpoc It’s a marvellous little trial set up by the makers of #LineOfDuty, but I have to be honest, even following it I’m none too much the wiser. Perhaps better minds then I have followed the trail ... and come to a different conclusion.
@jdpoc If you want to follow the trail, it starts here:

Sunday Mirror has a big upcoming story on Patriotic Alternative.

The journalist involved sent full copy of story to those involved.

Instead of responding, they have orchestrated (Parler & Gab) a targeted campaign of harassment against her.
@jdpoc So far we (FRW) have a fairly full folder of screen captures, 106 items so far and continuing.

Many include death threats.

Almost all are “anonymous“ accounts, but we have identities on at least 2/3 of them.
@jdpoc Stay safe, @amylsharpe. The screenshots that we take are merely a precaution but you are likely to come under intense pressure before the weekend. I’ve seen the copy you sent to PA. It is factual and balanced.

The actual people from *THAT* meme, 10 years on ...
.
Yes, people (oh, have a sense of humour) it's a trio cosplaying for effect.
This wasn't ever intended as a Social Media Experiment - but it's sure turned into one, as a perfect example of those who RT the first post without seeing the second.

OF COURSE it's not the same people. :-)

#Apple :

I've never lusted after the latest model ... I had a second hand dinky little iPhone 4 until a year ago, then ''upgraded'' to a second-hand not much larger iPhone 5s which was cool and did what I needed it to do..

1/- ...
... the latest iPhones are just that bit too big, physically, to carry safely and comnfortably in my pocket (my opinion).

So I just plumped for a dinky second-hand iPhone SE from 2020 - on eBay. £30. Absolute bargain. Mint. Apple call it their 'budget' version.

2/- ...
Apparently on reviews, the only downside is battery life :

It is (quoting TechSpurt)

"More pants than the annual Pants Convention hosted by Penelope Pants wearing a dozen pairs of really bad pants ..."

.. but that guy was gaming for hours. Not really my bag. So I'm good :-)

I’ve just now found out about this perfect little gem of information:

Do you remember Julie Briskman? She was the cyclist who gave the #Trump motorcade the finger. #Trump demanded she was fired, and she was.
@jdpoc So angry was she, she decided to run for office and defeated the local Republican candidate on her local Virginia State Council. She was sworn in today. And there is a beautiful little punchline…
@jdpoc ... she is now on the Local Board of Supervisors that overseas legislation for leisure facilities in her county.

A county which includes #Trump’s National Golf Club.

it’s just another little thing that’s made my day.

Tech : With many server stacks and LamP set-ups still being run on Ubuntu Server 16.04, you'll be aware that Support has moved from LTS to ESM.

Should you migrate ? Most would say yes, BUT : Assess the risks and make a smart business decision.

ubuntu.com/blog/ubuntu-16…
There are Migration-Hawks in the Industry who would evangelise over 'Upgrade Being The Path To Heaven'

Ain't neccessarily so.

Evaluate how migration impacts your existing workloads & APIs as your configs might depend on versions of the apps/libs that shipped with 16.04.
In short : In the personal desktop world, the 'latest' is always nice to have.

In business, 'If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It' should be plastered on every IT Support Office Wall.

My advice : Leave it alone. Migrate in 2 years time. Your clients will love you for it.
