I am surrounded by people in real life and the virtual world that think the Federal Government should be run like a household budget even now. It's debilitating.

This probably doesn't resonate with anyone other than myself and probably is going to die along with me... But I am still suffering intensely from the last global financial crisis. So I turned my pain into activism and education.

All these years later I see the same people saying the same dumb stuff about taxes and "bankrupting the nation" even as the nation creates its own currency. Every single day. Every single dollar spent by the Federal Government is new money. Every single dollar.

Yet here we are.

Jayapal advances Nationalizing Payroll... Dumb journalist from Vox says its gonna be expensive. She says she doesn't know how much it will cost... People still think the government is spending tax dollars.

Still think like a household budget. Even though the government creates money every single time it spends. Why would someone ask how much the program will cost? Why would someone ask "how will we pay for it?"???

Tlaib advances a crisis basic income via the Boost Act which mints 2 trillion dollar coins and funds a 2k initial payment and then subsequent 1k monthly payments.

Nowhere near enough money, but even then, even though the trillion dollar coins are explained as the pay fors... Even then... Many of "our" people ask "how will you pay for it?"

UBI people talking about "the value of the dollar" and "petrodollars" while simultaneously advancing a productionless solution that deprives the supply chain of labor and ignores a job guarantee for all that would fundamentally redefine what work even is... Get that?

and provide the defacto minimum wage and benefits the private sector would need to meet or beat to hire folks out of the program. Forever eliminating involuntary unemployment... These individuals still think they need to "finance" the UBI with a VAT tax.

They still think that KEYSTROKES and paper are some scarce resource the Federal Government cannot create at will. Bad faith people. Bad faith solutions. Bad to zero chances of survival.

Green New Deal? Forgeddaboutit... How are we gonna pay to survive climate change and viruses???

Please do not tell me you give a shit about anyone or anything if you ignore this.

We can afford to end student debt IMMEDIATELY.

We can afford to Nationalize Payroll IMMEDIATELY

We can afford a National Health Service IMMEDIATELY

We can afford a Green New Deal IMMEDIATELY with a Just Transition for those working in pollutant laden industries... A Federal Job Guarantee...

We can afford to expand Social Security IMMEDIATELY and expand coverage for those who do not fit the Job Guarantee.

We create money every single time our government spends. We are not stacking debt. We are not "blowing up the deficit" we are spending on the people if we actually do this stuff.

We do not need to cut spending BEFORE we begin spending.

We do not need to raise taxes to pay for spending.

We need to reclaim the public purse and not by greening the fucking dollar. By educating the people and then let democracy take care of "socialism" and "capitalism" issues of balance of power

FYI... The Federal Job Guarantee IMMEDIATELY shifts the power away from capital...

But keep on feeling edgy.

What I find terrifying... It's the people who do not share their we kinds of posts. Why? One, the people who won't bother. Two the people who are too good and three the people who just don't like me. Having nothing to do with the content. Just sickening.
