Chaired the 51st meeting of the Executive Board of National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) today.
Expressed my satisfaction about the progress made in the promotion of the Urdu language. Many efforts have been made to improve the promotion of Urdu language since 2014, in comparison to the period between 2009-2014.
During 2009-2014, Rs 193.83 crores were sanctioned to NCPUL. However, during 2015-2020, Rs 402.56 crores have been sanctioned. During 2009-2014, there were just 1066 centres offering one year diploma in Urdu language. During 2015-2020, that number went up to 1423.
I attended @AICTE_INDIA’s Lilavati Award Distribution Ceremony today.
The empowerment of women is considered to be the biggest measure of progress & social upliftment of any nation. I am happy that AICTE has taken this initiative & paved a path towards equality in #education & #innovation for women.
India is a country where 'Nari Tu Narayani' has been an integral part of our ethos & culture. Our Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji considers the women of this country important for nation building.
While applying for JEE(mains), candidates have to select any four cities of their choice. The efforts will be made to allot the city of examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their online Application Form.
However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted.
Candidates who apply for more than one Session of the JEE Mains exam can change their choice of cities in the correction window, which will be opened in due course under intimation to them through a public notice for each session.
Keeping in mind the various suggestions/requests received from aspirants of JEE Mains across the nation, it has been decided to conduct JEE Mains 4 times in a year (Feb, March, April, & May). I announced the dates for the same today.
The 1st JEE Mains will be conducted between 23-26 Feb. Session 2 of the exam will take place between 15-18 March. For April, the exam will be held between 27 & 30. Students can give the final attempt from 24-28 May.
This will give multiple opportunities to candidates to improve their scores in the exam if they are not able to give their best in one attempt. I am certain that it will also reduce the chances of dropping a year & droppers would not have to waste a full year.
