If the Govt has any concern for Indians, all they need is to use some common sense. Here are some common sense suggestions that Govts in India can do to ease citizens suffering and control #COVIDSecondWave: 1. Ban all religious gatherings, election rallies with immediate effect.
2. Cancel all lofty expenses like central vista renovation, statues, purchases of luxury for ministers, etc & use the funds to give direct cash to poor, needy, unemployed & distressed and small micro businesses on the lines of Covid relief given by US Gov. #COVIDSecondWave
3. Create a special task force independent of Govt control made up of Indian and international experts in Disaster management, healthcare & science. Let them draw up a immediate, short term, long term recovery & containment plans for Govts to implement. #COVIDSecondWave
4. Create an all political parties coordination committee for communication, cooperation and execution of all pandemic related decisions at centre and state level, as well as between states and to ensure that all Govts & agencies are on the same page. #COVIDSecondWave
5. Form a crises team, involve all stake holders and resolve farmers, labour, bank employees issues amicably so that they can end their protests and go back to their homes and lives. There is no room for ego at the time of such unprecedented national crises. #COVIDSecondWave
6. End antagonisation, aggression, combative attitude towards citizens. Address concerns, create amity, sense of security. Do not make irresponsible, unscientific statements. Direct politicians, Top influencers & media to exercise restrain. LISTEN TO GOOD IDEAS #COVIDSecondWave

Parties, politicians of all hues have their share of negatives but I see one big difference in the supporters of liberal, secular, progressive - Many question, challenge, protest against most of the negatives of their own side. At times, harming their own electoral chances. 1/
RW supporters, in contrast, offer blind unquestioning subservience. Shockingly, even those who clearly possess critical thinking & analytical skills. They do not just celebrate but almost demand lack of checks & balances in the system, especially while dealing with dissent. 2/
In my opinion, it is the behaviour of RW supporters, worldwide that is making RW politics dangerous, combative & anti democratic norms. Any party or politician who is offered such unchecked power, will undoubtedly abuse it in all the ways possible. 3/

#DinsTonight Wazir-e-Hindustan is making Saag 🥬 🍖 Meat tonight. Stage 1: fry thinly sliced onions, bay leaf and marinated meat (salt, chillies, garam masala, cumin & coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, fresh lemon juice) #FoodieTwitter @TheSlowFireChef
#DinsTonight cooking Saag meat 🥬 🍖 Stage 2: add tomato 🍅 purée and continue frying till oil separates. Don’t forget to cover the lid during each step to use the steam & heat generated to cook the meat on slow fire. No pressure cooker. #FoodieTwitter @TheSlowFireChef
#DinsTonight Cooking Saag Meat 🥬 🍖 Stage 3: boil spinach Saag with some garlic & purée it. Then add it to the meat and cook it on slow fire till nicely fried. Don’t lose patience at this stage. Well done Saag is key. #FoodieTwitter @TheSlowFireChef

What is nepotism but essentially monopolising of opportunities, agree? Well, look around you & let me know which sector is not already monopolised by 2-3 players. How is this any different as far as the impact goes on other players in the ecosystem? How come no one mentions it?
It is great that we are discussing nepotism but why the focus is so small? Why only limited to Bollywood? Is this because Bollywood is a soft target or is it because this is a planned take down or attack on some individuals instead of really addressing of issue? Real objectives?
Compare the number of people being impacted by nepotism in Bollywood, say as against any other full fledged manufacturing/services sector. What's the data? Do you know till recently, Bollywood was not even officially conferred with Industry status? Meaning, no Govt support.

Despite feeling sad by tragic news, I am really glad that it has triggered one more wave of discussions, compassion & awareness around mental health. However, I am also angry that why are we always so selective in our compassion and outrage? #Thread
What happened to PM, ministers & many others when so many poor migrants died of hunger & exhaustion just trying to reach home? What about the mental health of children who will grow up seeing images of their parents being left to face sub human conditions? Why no compassion then?
Glad today everyone is expressing compassion for mental health across political divide but why was this universal compassion, concern missing for poor who were suffering and ignored? Why was it politicised & many even blamed & traumatised the poor for wanting to go home. Why?

Historically, our masses were kept dumbed down with superstitions, rituals while knowledge, scientific temper were limited to a few. In the present times, such theatrics have same affect. Masses are being kept dumbed down. #coronavirusinindia 1/n
Instead of inculcating critical thinking, scientific temper, curiosity and hunger for factual information and knowledge, We have a large chunk of 1.3 billion people being doped on deranged superstitions and mindless rituals. #coronavirusinindia 2/n
As was the case historically, it's easier to rule & oppress dumbed down masses, most of whom are not even aware why they are doing what they are doing & that they have the right to question the Govt & hold them accountable. Every scrutiny is attacked. #coronavirusinindia 3/n

The key to success of consumerism and therefor capitalism is discrimination. Their entire business model depends on you feeling inadequate and therefor purchasing things you don’t need. They never want you to be happy where you are. They want you to keep moving on the conveyer.
And trying to break an imaginary barrier to the elusive happiness. The discrimination plays a role like darkness plays a role to make the bright lights visible. 2/n
If you won’t be discriminated against, you won’t feel inadequate, will be happy where you are in life because life would be more fair and that may lead to you feeling satiated and not desiring things you don’t need to compensate for your inadequacy. 3/n
