Historically, our masses were kept dumbed down with superstitions, rituals while knowledge, scientific temper were limited to a few. In the present times, such theatrics have same affect. Masses are being kept dumbed down. #coronavirusinindia 1/n
Instead of inculcating critical thinking, scientific temper, curiosity and hunger for factual information and knowledge, We have a large chunk of 1.3 billion people being doped on deranged superstitions and mindless rituals. #coronavirusinindia 2/n
As was the case historically, it's easier to rule & oppress dumbed down masses, most of whom are not even aware why they are doing what they are doing & that they have the right to question the Govt & hold them accountable. Every scrutiny is attacked. #coronavirusinindia 3/n

#Day7 #Lockdown21 Looks like India has entered plateau. The number of tests increasing. Too early to say if #covid19 wont affect India like it did in others. Caution: Early to predict future trajectory #Covid19India #India #coronavirusinindia source: coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html Image
To win the battle against #Covid19India, we require an effective containment strategy. hindustantimes.com/analysis/use-e… , India needs to adopt a syndromic approach with targeted testing. This is the way forward to reduce the maximum adverse impact. @tarunb20 @icmr_nie @Director_NCDC
The real threat as we move forward are the missed and silent areas, which have not reported #covid19 cases or delayed in reporting. The syndromic approach can tackle all these cases by isolating them and reducing transmission. However, #PPE is mandatory for frontline workers.

#Day6OfLockdown If there are no major hidden pockets of transmission going on, India has deflected from the world’s exponential line. Scenario-1: It will run parallel exponentially, at a lower level. #Covid19India #GlobalPandemic #India #coronavirusinindia
Scenario-2: With expanded testing, we will detect more, but we might still end up with lower than the exponential trajectories seen UK, US, France, Germany, Australia etc,
Scenario-3: If states with poor containment explode , this might change and catch up with higher exponential trajectory of the world. This is a logarithmic curve, let us read-only how a log curve is read, not as linear models.

Think Indian Government is handling covid-19 well? You are wrong.

I know two people who arrived from Spain on 20th March, only one of them was quarantined that too for a day.

On 31 Jan, one day after the first COVID-19 case in India, the govt’s directorate general of foreign trade issued a notification prohibiting the export of all PPE.

But on 8 February, the govt amended the order, allowing the export of surgical masks, gloves

Heads of 2 associations of PPE manufacturers told Scroll that the govt. had not placed any substantial orders with the members

It didn't publicly issue clear standards for the design, quality & testing of Covid-19 safety gear w/o which manufacturers can't begin production

LONG READ AGAIN!
I HAVE NO CHILLZ.
Since yesterday, I am witnessing people on social media making all sorts of accusations on the work done by the central government. (1) #coronavirusinindia
Some resorted to rhetoric and started sharing illogical and unverified facts, while the others made fun of the speech and concluded that the PM Modi’s chief policy to combat Coronavirus is to observe the ‘Janta Curfew’.
I also came across people comparing the steps taken by Trudeau and others, while ignoring the tax percentage and the population in India and Canada.
I am appalled to see the level of hate among some people.
