CJI SA Bobde: 1. Hcs are requested to issue directions to magistrates for converting trial 2. for conduct of inquiry under 302 of code evidence examination is permitted 3. we recommend suitable amendments be made for one trial against a person with multiple offences
CJI: 4. HC directed to issue practice directions to magistrates regarding service of summons 5. no inherent power of trial court of revisit a summon 6. section 258 of code is not applicable to complaints under Section 138
7. amendment to the act empowering trial court to recall and reexamine summons will be taken into account by the committee
List the matter after 8 weeks. further hearing in this matter will be before a three-judge bench.
