2nd dose AstraZenica and within the 10 week interval.

The extended interval likely to improve the effect of the booster shot.

Will stay careful to keep everyone safe.

My T cells should be cooking on gas.

Thank you #NHS@GlosCCG

Very friendly. Super efficient. Image
Grateful to the scientists who developed it and all those who helped manufacture it.

Grateful to those who supported the logistics of supply.

Very conscious of the fact that I am more fortunate than so many in many countries that have not seen a vaccine yet.
Happy to report that I didn’t (so far) experience the unpleasant side effects that I did after the first one. No headache or tiredness. No racing heart. No lying in bed feeling I’d been given a massive caffeine shot, no nausea

Just a slight kidney ache today. Lots of water!
I may have spoken too soon.."or maybe I’ve picked up a bit of a bug, but tonight I have a sore throat and a bit of a cough and sniffles.

Have’n’t been anywhere much to pick up bugs and always masked.

An unvaccinated HC worker set off a Covid outbreak at a nursing home in Kentucky where the vast majority of residents had been vaccinated, leading to dozens of infections, including 22 cases among residents and employees who were already fully vaccinated

The infections including 22 cases among residents and employees who were already fully vaccinated

Most did not experience symptoms. But one resident did die.

Two unvaccinated residents died

90% of 83 residents had been vaccinated but only half of the 116 employees Image
20 HCW were infected but just 4 of them were vaccinated

It seems that vaccine resistance has been steep amongst US nursing home staff.

In the U.K. as of 4/4/21, 78% of care homes workers had been vaccinated but in London and Lambeth homes the number was much lower. Under 60% Image

Whilst a high % that seems remarkably low compared to that Delhi - Hong Kong flight on 4th April - (but several tested positive during quarantine -49/188 seater plane ) and far FAR lower than the positivity rate in India and in Delhi.
Does anyone know if Children under 11 have to be quarantine tested?.

They don’t have to do a pre flight test ⬇️

On that Delhi Hong Kong Flight, 10 (20%) out of the 49 that tested positive on arrival or during quarantine were under 11 years old. Image
The Government Guidance at that point is silent.

I am not clear if the early exemption applies to quarantine PCR tests as well for babies -10 year old.

Covishield is the is AstraZenica.
Covaxin is the Indian developed vaccine.

The AZ vaccine after the 2nd dose is strongly performing.
c5K cases after 15 million second doses.

Particularly good news as deployed in VERY high prevalence AND with the new 🇮🇳 variants prevalent
Covaxin seems to be performing well too with just 695 positives after 1.7 mill second doses

(that comma caught me out after 17. - I thought for a moment it was 17 million, but on closer look it is 1,737,178)

Given social distancing has not been strongly maintained v. promising Image
No one would wish the dreadful tsunami of cases and deaths we are seeing in India to be visited on anyone.

However there is no doubt that the vaccines are being rolled out and tested “in anger” in very hard conditions indeed.

Second dosing really does confer an advantage. Image

⚰️ 60 day deaths (positive test, Covid on the death certificate) at 75 are nearly 4 times the 28 day deaths : 22.

I’m keeping an eye on LFT positives (and what happens to the totals a week or so later after PCR confirmation.

On Sunday 18th over 1.6 mill LFT done
That is in England. That produced 1151 positives not confirmed by PCR on 18/4/21. Just 234 confirmed by PCR.

The previous Sunday 11th 1.18 mill were done producing 505 positives with 335 confirmed through PCR

751 through PCR alone.

550 positive cases were removed ImageImageImage
62.9% of the adult population have received their first dose.

20.5% of the adult population have received their second dose.

I am hopeful that the second doses will reduce transmission (and therefore help to keep the R Rate down ) and give T and B cell immunity a good boost. Image

“In many places, test positivity is rising at the same pace. Even as more & more tests are done, the share of them that come back positive is still climbing, suggesting tens of thousands of cases are going undetected.”

And x10 times as many people cremated than official records.
“Local news reports for seven districts across the states of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar show that while at least 1,833 people are known to have died of Covid-19 in recent days, based mainly on cremations, only 228 have been officially reported.”
For me that is the ultimate and grievous insult.

Create conditions where your citizens suffer grievously and die suffering.

Then lie about it. Don’t even count them honestly.

The the tune of 8 or 9 times over.

George Floyd did not have due process.

He had Derek Chauvin kneeling in his neck for 9 minutes.

Derek Chauvin had due process.

Guilty x 3
I dread to think what the verdict would have been were it not for this.
Remember this spin by Minneapolis Police at the time

“Man dies after Medical Intervention”
