As the long buried truth about @DrIsaPantami continues to be exhumed, I advise him to take a bow now.
If not, interested parties should approach the Courts, seeking interpretation whether @NigeriaGov erred against Section 5 of the 2013 Terrorism (Prevention) Act as amended👇
2/ Tied to hashtags- #IsaPantamiResignNow, #SackPantamiNow, editorial by @MobilePunch, et al, for precedent's sake, this matter must be tested in our Courts, to decide based on antecedents, whether a man like BH's Abubakar Shekau is also eligible for Nigeria's public offices...
3/ For precedent's sake, interested parties such as @adeyanjudeji's @ConcernedNIG should compile all mounting evidences against @DrIsaPantami & head to our Courts.
If the Courts say YES, FG erred in Pantami's appointment as Minister, then, he must be prosecuted accordingly...
Barely 6years after I broke the news of @MaziNnamdiKanu's arrest in Lagos, how IPOB a group of 'jobless miscreants' who bore just Biafran flags, now bear 'sophisticated' arms & ammunition should give all South East political 'leaders' across Alaigbo & in Abuja, sleepless nights.
2/ Before it is too late, elderstatesmen such as Chief Mbazulike Amechi (92); Chief Ben Nwabueze (89); Chief Emeka Anyaoku (88); Igwe Alfred Achebe (79), et al, should convene a meeting of all SE Govs, Senators, Reps, political, traditional, religious & biz leaders/stakeholders.
3/ Convening this meeting (Nzuko Umunna), has become imperative, with the turn of events across Alaigbo.
With IPOB/ESN leader, @MaziNnamdiKanu technically declaring a "fatwa" on traitorous S-E elites, Yours Truly says it is high time Ndigbo discussed their future in #OneNigeria.
Ebube Agụ, like Amotekun, won't fix the broken security architecture in Alaigbo.
For the umpteenth time, I advise Governors under the aegis of @NGFSecretariat to sue for the urgent Decentralisation of @PoliceNG into 37 Independent State Police & 774 Local Police Departments.
2/ Similarly, militia groups such as the Eastern Security Network (ESN) formed by @MaziNnamdiKanu can't fix the broken security architecture in Alaigbo. Such window gives rise to the formations of more militia groups by politicians & non-State actors.
Alaigbo will surely boil.
3/ Pending Decentralisation of @PoliceNG, Ag. @PoliceNG IG, Alkali Baba Usman must rid all roadways in Alaigbo of Police Roadblocks/Checkpoints which block the free flow of human/vehicular traffic; promote corruption, extortion, arbitrary arrests & police brutalities.
2/ In several threads, I've continued to advocate for a #CompetitiveMediaIndustry in today's Nigeria
As it operates in the U.S., Nigeria, particularly, during the First Republic (1960-1966), had a #CompetitiveMediaIndustry, when the Media leaned towards Political Parties.
3/ Nigeria's First Republic (1960-1966) had newspapers like the West African Pilot which leaned towards Nnamdi Azikiwe's National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC); @nigeriantribune which leaned towards Obafemi Awolowo's Action Group (AG)...
Yesterday, @AriyoAristotle gave a scoop on the behemoth against the smooth passage of a clean #ElectoralBill towards a clean 2023 polls. The last 24hours, one had expected vehement reactions against SP Ahmad Lawan & his led @NGRSenate, zilch.
Today is March 30, 2021, but feelers from @nassnigeria, indicate the @DrAhmadLawan-led @NGRSenate ain't committed towards a clean elections in 2023.
3/ Irrespective of the political leaning, a clean #AmendedElectoralAct should concern you. Such Act should:
- Allow @inecnigeria call for nominations at least 360days to election & submission of candidates lists not later than 6months. This solves pre-election litigation issues.
2/ Since Jan 22, 2021 that joint taskforce of @HQNigerianArmy, @PoliceNG & DSS invaded Orlu & its environs abducting innocent men & women, with 9 now being charged for murder, how many Igbo Politicians, paid with tax payers money- Govs, Senators, Reps, etc have reacted?
3/ NONE! I've reached out to SE Senators to intervene on the @PoliceNG incarceration of innocent Umuigbo, but zilch.
Dear @MaziNnamdiKanu, conceding that ESN is a security stop-gap, it needs the legitimacy of law. Will cowards masquerading as leaders in Alaigbo support you? NO!
This is 2021. @NigeriaGov, @elrufai, other State Govs & LG Chairs must realise there are essential Roadway Signs, Traffic Signals, Pavement Markings which come with road constructions.
WAY FORWARD
Decentralise @FRSCNigeria. Let all 36 States + Abuja develop their own Road Rules.
FG, @kfayemi-led NGF & LG chairs should stop behaving like illiterates. Build roads with:
- Deep, Closed Drainages
- Walkways
- Streetlights
- Regulatory Signs: e.g., One Way, Stop Sign.
- Warning Signs: e.g., Pedestrian Crosswalk, School Signs
- Guide Signs: e.g. Route Markers
