1/7 This Twitter.com website can occasionally be used to create some wondrous things.

Tonight, it fostered an idea that resulted in the creation of a tool — that can allow people to find the closest vaccine clinic to them by sending out a simple text. #covidontario
2/7 Earlier, I RT'd @JProskowGlobal, who highlighted a vaccine-clinic search tool only available in the US.

The concept is simple: you text your postal code to a number and it replies with vaccine clinics nearby.

Yet, Canada doesn't have this tool.
Without missing a beat, @ZainManji replied — offering to build one for Ontario.

I assumed it would take a few days.

I even asked if he was up for an interview on his new creation as early as Monday, thinking it would probably need more time than that.

Premier Ford’s first press conference in over a week begins.

He starts off by saying he welcomes Ontario’s long-term COVID-19 commission’s final report.

“I will not stand here and try to make excuses and pass the blame.” #onpoli #covidontario
Ford says by the end of today, 40% of all adults in Ontario will have received the first dose of the vaccine. #onpoli
Ford says 90% of average daily cases this week are 'variants of concern."

He blames 'weak borders measures' as to how these variants are coming into the province.

"[B.1.617] didn't swim here, I'll tell you that." #onpoli #covidontario

Great Q by @l_stone: How can you stand there and pat yourselves on the back for this? Highlighting how long it took to launch paid sick leave

McNaughton: were waiting and had hoped it would be included in federal budget, but acted when it wasn’t. #onpoli #covidontario
Minister Bethlenfalvy admits Feds have not yet agreed with Ontario to allow province to double that program.

Yet, the Ontario government just went ahead and announced it today as of it were approved. #onpoli #covidontario

Here we go.

Bylaw officers arrive at Adamson BBQ after the restaurant defied lockdown orders this morning and opened its doors to indoor dining. #covid19ontario
Adamson BBQ owner Adam Skelly seems to be enjoying this. He was head nodding to Rage Against the Machine and grinning ear to ear as bylaw officers walked in (he’s in blue and black plaid). Then told media to get off his property. #covid19ontario
Police are here in large numbers.

This is no longer just a story about a small business owner defying lockdown rules.

It’s become a flashpoint between anti-lockdown protestors and those who are for the rules. #covid19ontario
