Here's my BRAND NEW LinkedIn outreach workflow for all clients...

[SHORT THREAD]

LET'S GO...
STEP 1

Compile a target list of prospects as normal (Sales Nav or Apollo)

Create a saved search or csv file to upload into the automation tool.

Then onto Step 2...
STEP 2

Upload the list into the tool and find out which of these prospects has an OPEN PROFILE

LinkedIn users with an open profile allow you to send them a message without connecting first

This is 100% FREE

In my testing so far I find about 20-30% have an open profile.
STEP 3

Add these OPEN PROFILE contacts into an OPEN INMAIL campaign

Yes, we're using InMail to send a message but again it costs us NOTHING...

The Open InMail campaign has a subject line and a message body, PLUS we can attach IMAGES (aka my PIM strategy) & send follow-ups.
STEP 3 (cont)

The great thing about Open InMail messages is that you can go straight to your OFFER.

LinkedIn automatically asks the receiver to confirm if they're interested or not.

There's NO need for icebreakers, just get straight to the point, but DO IT WELL...
STEP 4

For everyone with a closed profile, we add them into a connection campaign as normal.

We can only send 100 of these requests per week, so it will take longer than before to work through the list.

This is why messaging 20-30% of open profiles is a huge opportunity...
STEP 5

Responders to all campaigns get zapped into a CRM for tracking and follow-up.

THAT'S IT
STEP 6

Of course if the campaign is OMNICHANNEL then we'll email people as well, plus follow-up with a phone call

But if you're doing LinkedIn-only campaigns, this is a killer formula for success with the new 100 connections per week limit.

Now go CRUSH IT...

Public service announcement

If you use Mailgun

and ANY third party domain warming software like WarmupInbox

Its time you STOP...

[SHORT THREAD]
Yesterday my Mailgun acccount was shut down because of 'suspicious activity'

The main issue was the spam-like nature of the messages sent by the warming software

Like this subject line "Any salad dressing can organize a lover about a | wuI"

2.
However using automated 3rd party services is essentially against AUP in any case

But sending spam-like messages with automation software is just plain asking for trouble...

RECOMMENDATIONS are the most valuable yet under-optimized part of your LinkedIn profile.

Virtually nobody pays attention or prioritizes increasing these.

Yet when I check out your profile, the first thing I'm looking for is what other people say about you.

// LI Recommendations //

You can only get recommendations from your existing Level 1 connections

So be sure to send a connection request to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR CLIENTS

Recommendations from your colleagues or boss are useless zero unless you're looking for a job.
// LI Recommendations //

Like all good testimonials, the more specific they are the better...

This is from Dustin, one of my recent Recommendations, about his consultancy call with me:

"within the first 10 minutes I'd already had a page of notes"

This is the #1 question I get asked about LinkedIn outreach...

"𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮?"

#1 You don't want to use your personal profile to prospect for anyone other than you

You SHOULD be prospecting yourself so you can

> Gain more clients
> Gain experience how to use LinkedIn

Experimenting using your clients' accounts isn't recommended

Be your own client first
#2 People mainly connect with you because of your profile strength NOT your connection message

The importance of connection messages is overrated

Your prospects want to see your profile and will JUDGE you on it.

If you look like an expert

They are MUCH more likely to accept

LinkedIn outbound message TEARDOWN...

"The exact WRONG way to engage your prospects on LinkedIn...

...and what you SHOULD do instead."

[SHORT THREAD] LinkedIn outbound message TEARDOWN Example
MISTAKE #1 - Targeting

I've tweeted about this non-stop...

The FIRST thing you need to get right is your targeting

Pitching a LinkedIn outreach service to someone who offers LinkedIn outreach services

...only shows you have NO CLUE what you're doing at all.

2
MISTAKE #2 - LinkedIn profile headline

This headline is just terrible...

"Generating clients; growing your business; sharpening your toolbox."

a 0/10 score...

...and this person is a LinkedIn expert?

How to scrape the contact details of the TOP 5000 fastest growing privately-owned companies in the USA.

In other words...

How to get A-Grade clients only that APPRECIATE your expertise & have the ABILITY to pay you big $$$ for your agency services...

[THREAD]1
You've heard of Inc. magazine

But you might NOT have heard about the INC5000 list...

If not, go to inc[dot]com/inc5000

Then click on 'The List' to see ALL the companies

At this point the 'crazy opportunity' bells should already be ringing in your head...

2
These companies are GROWING fast...

BUT

They need YOUR HELP to keep growing...

HOWEVER

As they're already SUCCESSFUL...

They already have the BUDGET and ABILITY to pay for the value you bring.

Do you think they'd pay for 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴?
