UPDATES FROM THE @MBuhari ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY PLAN:
#DidYouKnow More than two thousand (2,000) hectares of land with titled documents have been given by 24 States for the Buhari administration’s Social Housing programme.
The Family Homes Fund Limited (FHFL) @FHFLNigeria is the implementing agency for the Social Housing scheme.

Under the #ESPNigeria Social Housing programme, Nigerians will be given at least a 15-year period with a monthly payment at six percent interest rate to pay for each housing unit.
.@cenbank has committed to a N200 Billion facility with a guarantee by @NigeriaGov via @FinMinNigeria for the Social Housing scheme.
An agreement with CBN has now been finalized and signed by @FHFLNigeria, while drawdown is subject to the @FinMinNigeria guarantee.
According to the @FHFLNigeria MD, the agency has struck partnerships with Dangote Cement for the provision of cement at subsidized rates to construct the #ESPSocialHousing homes, adding that “we expect to reach a similar agreement with the other two majors shortly.” #ESPNigeria
He added that @FHFLNigeria has signed an MoU with the #ESPSolar project including 3 suppliers to provide low-cost solar panels to the homes. #ESPSocialHousing
Already sites for early start #ESPSocialHousing projects have been identified in all the 6 geo-political zones in addition to the FCT.
Sites have also been identified in Abuja including at Dei Dei where Vice President @ProfOsinbajo earlier visited to see the sample designs of the Social Housing homes. #ESPNigeria#ESPSocialHousing

Under #ESPSocialHousing, @NigeriaGov plans to support 1.5 million Nigerians to acquire low-cost houses through mortgage options and also Rent-to-Own option.
The scheme is expected to also generate 1.8 million jobs and deliver houses to about 1.5 million Nigerian families.
The houses are to be priced around and about N2m and N4m each putting it within the reach of the low-income earners, depending on the number of rooms.
President @MBuhari has approved the establishment of a National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW) to be domiciled in the Office of the National Security Adviser.
The NCCSALW replaces the defunct Presidential Committee on Small Arms and Light Weapons and shall serve as the institutional mechanism for policy guidance, research and monitoring of all aspects of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) in Nigeria.
This decision is part of ongoing restructuring of Nigeria’s security architecture to address emerging threats and strengthen regional mechanism for the control, prevention and regulation of SALW.
Our @SurvivalFund_ng payments to qualified beneficiaries are continuing. A new batch of 146,065 successful beneficiaries from 28 States have started receiving payment of N30,000 each (per month),under the Payroll Support Track. Each beneficiary will be paid for 3 months = N90,000
This brings the total number of beneficiaries so far under the Payroll support scheme of the @SurvivalFund_ng nationwide to 465,820.
The MSME Survival Fund @SurvivalFund_ng, a component under the Buhari Administration’s Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) is designed to support vulnerable Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in meeting their payroll obligations, and to safeguard jobs in the MSMEs sector.

The Presidency gives assurances that the release of the remaining Chibok girls is still work in progress.
No one is giving up hope here. Efforts to secure their release through various channels and activities of the security and intelligence agencies remain on course.
President Buhari has approved the renewal of the appointment of Mr Alexander Ayoola Okoh as Director-General @BPENigeria for a second term of 4 years in accordance with provision of Section 17 (1)(a) & (2)(a) of the Public Enterprise (Privatization & Commercialization) Act, 1999.
This renewal will take effect from 10th April, 2021.
