A Round up of what happened yesterday in #Glasgow

Around 9am on 13/05/21 - A FB message was sent out to let locals know what's going on.

9.30am - There was a noticeable and visible disapproval of the early morning raid by locals.

9.45am - enough people to start blocking the road and chants start to happen

10:15am - Someone gets under the van to stop it taking anyone away. (More about him later in the thread)

10.45 - Starts Trending on twitter

11am – More Cops arrive

11.30am – More people start to arrive the immigration van is fully surrounded by protesters

12.15pm - Water is at last allowed to be given to the people inside the van

12.30/1pm - People start to bring food for people there as even more continue to show up.

1.15pm - Cops bring in horses and loads of cop cars to try and intimate but crowd remains peaceful, chanting, handing out water and food and legal advice.

1.30pm - get bored and start shoving and trampling people

1.30pm - after that doesn’t work they retreat to make other plans

1.40pm - Police then just decide to intimidate people to move and grab and arrest anyone they fill like

2pm – Crowds now over take the whole street nothing police can do but look on

4.30pm - a lawyer negotiated with the cops to have the detainees released into the lawyer's custody, with no charges pressed against them.

In this negotiation they also agreed to drop the charges against the brave hero who was under the van for over 9 Hours

5.35pm Human rights lawyer @AamerAnwar , addresses the crowd, says they will be released into his custody.

5:40pm - The Police finally release them from the back of the van

5.50pm/6pm - The local community, Groups and friends march to local mosque to ensure the men reach there safely.
