Hello Ethiopia, Sanctions are coming.

Despite their best efforts the US could neither resurrect the TPLF nor stop the upcoming election. Ethiopia seems unshakably fixed on a course to the most pivotal elections in its history and critical overhaul of the Ethiopian constitution.
There has been zero political support by the US and Europe for the upcoming elections, in fact, they have called for it's cancellation. Europe attempting to diminish the international credibility of the elections by withdrawing its observers, although now they are reconsidering.
Ethiopia has announced that national dialogue will be held after the elections. The dialogue is expected to generate a national consensus on the future of Ethiopia. The US has been fighting, unsuccessfully, to have the dialogue before elections.
The reason was to have TPLF and other likeminded ethnically motivated parties to save the current constitution. As it stands, only elected representatives will participate. In essence these far-right fascist parties shot themselves in the foot by withdrawing from the elections.
Barred from ground invasion by Russia and China at the UN security council, the US has brought out its favorite tool from its political bag: they passed resolutions that will open the way to put sanctions on Ethiopia.
But this will only work to Ethiopia's advantage. Ethiopia is currently discovering itself. With no help from the west, in fact opposition, Ethiopia is safely negotiating the GERD. A mega project void of Foreign help, a testimony of possibilities that Ethiopia harbors in itself.
Ethiopia, of its own accord, has upgraded Wheat harvest tech to the point that Foreign import will no longer be necessary and our use of limited hard currency to import wheat was really a waste of money over the past three decades.
Ethiopia planted a record number of trees and is on track to plant 6 billion more this year. Initiative, execution, and budget all Ethiopian.
The Entoto and Unity park have been a showcase of Ethiopian only infrastructure initiative with zero parts imported from Foreign countries. All in all, Ethiopia is not only realizing it has everything it needs to prosper within it's border, but its actually capitalizing on it.
Any sanctions will only accelerate this process of self discovery. The greatest victory for Ethiopia would be an agricultural revolution followed by an industrial revolution. Ethiopia is rising, and a culture and economy built on receiving handouts is finally coming to an end.
The US may hide behind "crimes against humanity" excuses, but the truth is the US has its own political and military interest in the Horn of Africa region that was served by a dependent Ethiopia through TPLF.

Ethiopia is in a painful process of removing all chains of dependency.

Too many Sudanese officials inspired by Egypt have become delirious and are now salivating for the Benishangul region. Their logic is flawed from inception.
According to them Ethiopia refusal to accept Nile Sharing treaties on grounds that they are "colonial" means that Ethiopia should also forfeit colonial treaty that gives Ethiopia the Benishangul region.
There have been at least 6 major treaties signed concerning the Nile:
1891,1902,1906,1925,1929,1959.
Ethiopia was only involved in and signed the 1902 Treaty with Britain. Whether the other Nile Sharing treaty was colonial or not is a mute point, Ethiopia was never a part of it.

This is why you must vote. Ethiopia is soooooooooo racist that they are not fazed by anything apart from race issue. Tunisia literally had their government overthrown because an EXACT situation that happened there. LITERALLY the exact situation, his name Mohamed Bouazizi.
For that matter the price of bread went up in Sudan and the people blew up the city, same thing in Egypt, price of bread went up, the people went to overthrow the Government. But not in Ethiopia. The price of bread and oil have been skyrocketing.
But 30 years under TPLF/EPRDF the people have been thoroughly brainwashed. We have been carefully weaned off caring for our basic necessities and have been trained to focus on race as a superior construct.

What's happening in Ethiopia?
When a boat the "EVERGREEN" on March 24 clogged the Suez canal, damages were calculated at $400 million an hour or $9.6 Billion a day, with the cost of crude oil and other goods hiking across western countries.
Delays in goods of up to 10 days for ships that detoured around the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa, and logistics that will take months to correct.
The Suez canal is a critical artery for 12% of international trade. How important? Its so important that the US in 1967 considered nuking an alternative route through Israel. businessinsider.co.za/us-planned-sue…

Dear Ethiopians,
Stop wasting your breath trying to "convince" the US government with actual facts. They already know the facts. The US has geopolitical interests in the HOA, Please be aware decisions will be made to further those interests while punishing those who resist.
Let me illuminate this with an example. In the 2020 Tanzanian general election, John Magufuli won with 84%. The US was quick to respond with this official statement
The US called for an electoral investigation, opposition parties to seek legal recourse on the election results and also proposed Visa restrictions to the US and ally countries.

Ethiopia, papers have been signed and all hell has broke loose.

A new regional bloc has ALREADY been created on Jan 27, 2020 that flew under the radar and under reported on mainstream media: Horn of Africa Cooperation-HoAC.
Current members: Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia
Current international reception has ranged from from unsupportive, negative to doom and gloom. In other words this is not a block that the west particularly wants in existence. But will they engage to stop it?
What do we know so far?
1. The US courting Sudan with better international status and perhaps looking for a TPLF replacement has made many more promises behind the scene.

Dear western media.
I really have to call you out on hypocrisy and agenda driven biased reporting. Because while you make it a point to continuously point out that Abiy is a failed "Nobel prize" winner taking the country to civil war with constant reruns of Tigray refugees...
and their harrowing stories, you have NOTHING critical to say about TPLF. Nothing of the human rights violations for 27 years, or the illegal monopolistic monetary empire they built in Ethiopia, how they made Ethiopia the top 5 jailers of journalists in the world,
how they won the past three election by over 99%, in fact in 2015, they won it by 100%...not one interview with thousands of maimed, blind, illegally imprisoned. They're not hard to find. For example Birtukan Mideksa, she is now the head of the National Election Board of Ethiopia
