Thread: Can an Amhara be impartial?
The intercept article has shown the ugly highjacking of an American institution. @VOAAmharic, for the service of an ugly fascistic, racist & backward Amhara nationalism. But is it an isolated case? No, it is not. 1) theintercept.com/2021/05/21/voi…
Any institution headed/staffed by Amhara will always end up being an Amhara propaganda tool. And I am not talking about Ethiopian institutions which have always been Amhara political tools, but foreign and international institutions. 2
There is no foreign institution that has hired an Amhara, and remained impartial in Ethiopian matters. If you hire an Amhara, be sure that your institution will be hijacked for Amhara supremacist, racist and fascistic purpose. Let's see a few examples.
@DanielBekele when he was working for @UNHumanRights used it to advance Amhara interests. Recently together with an @amnesty Amhara employee Netsanet Belay, they used @amnesty to issue victim-blaming report on the Mai Kadra massacre.
Yoseph Badwaza of @ChathamHouse appeared before US foreign committee hearing and basically conveyed Amhara propaganda. Institutions hiring from Ethiopia need to be aware of this situation.

Thank yo all for your messages of condolences on the passing of my grandmother, Abrehet Gidey. In a time of chance for contact with grieving family members, your messages are comforting. 1/2
My grandmother was old, and I was hoping to have a last chance to sit down with her and hear her story, and her blessings. When I was about to go about a year ago, Covid-19 came followed by the genocidal war. That she passed away like this makes me sad.
She started feeling sick when the invading forces shelled the area and family members had to carry her and flee. After that, there was no chance to take her to a hospital for a check since all health facilities were looted and destroyed. Traveling was also not possible ... 3

The International community (IC) has the ground to invoke its residual responsibility to protect (R2P) #Tigrayans. According to the R2P commitment, state sovereignty is a responsibility for people's welfare. 1
R2P is states' and IC's responsibility to protect populations from the worst forms of violence: genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing, and crimes against humanity. 2
un.org/en/genocidepre…
Welfare and protection from these crimes is primarily the state's responsibility. But the IC has a residual responsibility, especially when "national authorities manifestly fail to protect their populations". 3

The genocidal and traitorous man, @AbiyAhmedAli, has told the world it is his right to commit war crimes and violate IHL using Amhara, Eritrean and Ethiopian armies in Tigray. He rebuffed calls for Eritrean and Amhara armies to leave Tigray. 1/2
He blamed Tigrayans for anything and engaged in the usual lies and deception. He mocked the pain of "their women"[Tigrayan women] that are being raped by #Eritrean, #Ethiopian and marauding #Amhara militias by arguing it is nothing compared to the damage on his army. 2/2
He accused @CNN, @amnesty, @hrw and many others that reported on the Tigray crimes of being paid by TPLF.

Why the international community should be alarmed about the well-planned, campaigned and intended #TigrayGenocide. @Martijncda @RAbdiAnalyst @LaetitiaBader @amnesty @hrw @mbachelet 1/15
I wrote on the genocidal undercurrents leading to the war on Tigray. Time has made it more relevant. In 1984/5
The Derg launched “to kill all the fish, it was necessary to drain the sea”—the sea being the Tigrayans the fish the fighters. 2/15

The Isaias Afewerki-led EPLF collaborated with the Derg's Tigray extermination efforts by blocking a path to Tigrayans fleeing from the 1984/5 famine to Sudan. 3/15

Enabling supporting and providing cover for #TigrayGenocide
Connecting the dots. @antonioguterres has been a major obstacle for Tigray in the UNSC. Guterres is apparently connected to @AnaMartinsGomes who is connected to @EthzemaLeader, a founder of @ESATtv 1/11
@ESATtv is a hate media founded with funding from Eritrea and peaches Tigray extermination. @BronwynBruton of @AtlanticCouncil is a lobbyist for the Eritrean regime. Recently she appeared with Gizaw of ESAT, endorsing #TigrayGenocide. How do we explain all these? 2/11
Ana Gomes has been involved in anti-Tigray activities since 2005 supporting Berhanu Nega (@EthzemaLeader) who was a leader of an anti-Tigray party, CUD, which campaigned "Tigrayan property to city hall, Tigrayans to Mekelle". Anna and Berhanu have been very close ever since. 3/11

The Mai Kadra Massacre 1/4 Thread
I have found evidence that Eritrean soldiers pretending Tigrayans massacred Amharas. These Eritrean soldiers were stationed in the newly established command in Bahirdar in the pretext of helping establish the command.
The goal was to galvanize Amhara support for the war on Tigray. It was indeed seized as planed for galvanizing support for the war. After that, Amhara militia who were fed the news of the massacre came charging and wiped Tigrayans out from Mai Kadra and other places. 2/4
Then to give weight to the narrative, a quick work was done for an Amhara @amnesty contact, @NetsanetDBelay, to produce a report. Again another Amhara @DanielBekele, an in-law of @NetsanetDBelay, was made to produce the same report in the name of @EthioHRC. 3/4
