Two recent developments show why it's critically important for judges and Congress to release all information relating to #TrumpRussia and expose the lies of the people involved.
First, Konstantin Kilimnick gave an interview to @aaronjmate, which was published it May 19 (on his new Substack).
Kilimnick was Paul Manafort's right-hand man in Ukraine. The US government says he's a Russian intelligence agent. mate.substack.com/p/accused-russ…
Kilimnick told Mate, among other things, he had never traveled to Spain to meet Manafort as Robert Mueller's office had claimed.
Unfortunately for Kilimnick and Mate, Judge Amy Berman Jackson today unsealed documents relating to Paul Manafort's criminal case.
As I've pointed out over and over, people caught up in #TrumpRussia lie.
Michael Cohen, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, George Papadopoulos all lied when asked by Congress or the FBI about Trump and Russia. latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/…
It's now clear that Kilimnick lied too.
But we would have no way of showing that without Judge Jackson's unsealing order.
And until we know all the facts, Donald Trump and Russia can and will continue to cast doubt on the investigation.

Time for another update on my #FOIA lawsuit for FBI files that link @realDonaldTrump to the investigation of Vyacheslav Ivankov, a top Russian gangster arrested in the US.
We are in a fight with the DOJ over whether revealing Trump's name or his businesses in the FBI files of a Russian vor (top-level gangster) would infringe on his privacy rights.

Today, we filed our response to the government's motion for summary judgment (dismissal).
We have narrowed our challenges to privacy withholdings (#FOIA Exemptions 6, 7C, and 7D).
Here's an update on my #FOIA lawsuit for FBI files that link @realDonaldTrump to the investigation of Vyacheslav Ivankov, a major Russian gangster arrested in the US.
I'm represented by @MarkSZaidEsq and @BradMossEsq. The case is before Judge Amy Berman Jackson in DC.

We appear to be in a fight over whether revealing Trump's name or his businesses in the FBI files of a Russian vor (top-level gangster) would infringe on his privacy rights.

The government filed a motion for summary judgement last week, arguing that 150 pages were properly withheld from me under various #FOIA exemptions.
Notably, the DOJ is silent on the issue of whether Trump's name appears in the file.

This is Kremlin propaganda running on OAN, Trump's favorite network. The voice is that of Kristian Rouz, who also worked for Sputnik, Russia's official propaganda outlet.
Here's Rouz's statement on his writing for Sputnik:
OAN describes the Ukrainian-born Rouz as a "news aggregator," who compiles and writes stories from "other sources." According to OAN, all his work goes through the network's own editorial processes.
Here, Mafia underboss Sammy "The Bull" Gravano, testifying before the Senate in 1993, explains how he would talk about boxing and construction with Donald Trump. (The "John" he references is his boss, John Gotti.)
Short thread to put the drone attack at Saudi Aramco’s Abqaiq facility in some perspective.
Abqaiq, located in eastern Saudi Arabia, is the largest crude oil processing facility in the world.
In 2018, it processed roughly half of all of Saudi’s 10.3 million barrels per day (BPD), according to Aramco’s prospectus. That’s roughly 5 million barrels per day, or one in every 20 barrels of oil used worldwide.
Duncan Hunter, in Italy with his family, texts his chief of staff to say that the women here are way hotter than Germany where they all suck. "And tell the navy to go fuck themselves."
The context: Hunter was trying to arrange a visit to a Navy base in Naples to justify his 2015 family vacation paid for with $14k in campaign funds.
Prosecutors: "But in the end, it appears the Hunter family was having too much fun in Italy to rearrange their itinerary around a base visit, even for the purpose of generating a pretext for their embezzlement of $14,000 in campaign funds."
