729 days ago, I made a promise that my government will consistently match our words with actions, and we have worked tirelessly to transform into reality our shared aspiration of making Lagos one of the most functional and habitable cities in the world.

#SanwoReports
Today, I gave an account of some of the work we have done across every strata.

Daily, we experience some discomfort because of the multiple construction work going on concurrently but this is the sacrifice we need to make towards the actualisation of our vision.

#SanwoReports
In my State of the State address, I gave a detailed account of our undertakings in the last 729 days of transforming Lagos and also reflected on our journey to A Greater Lagos.

We are exceedingly happy with the progress we have made in the last two years.
Our destination is now in sight.

Much more than ever in the history of our beloved State, we have moved in the direction of advancement and the conviction about our progress is incontestable.
We are remaking Lagos to a model state by expanding infrastructure through building of highways, inner city roads to rehabilitating schools, ensuring food security, upgrading healthcare facilities, better transportation, increasing access to education, housing and urban renewal.
While securing today, our future is very bright and assured with our plan to complete our intermodal bus terminals at Ajah, Abule Egba, Iju, Ojota and Anthony Village.

We have also raised funding for the completion of the Phase 1 of the 27km Blue Line Rail Project.
We flagged-off the construction of the 37.5km Rail Mass Transit Red Line from Agbado to Marina. The rail corridor will move 1 million passengers daily when operating at full-capacity and has 8 stations and 8 vehicle overpasses.

#SanwoReports
Work is on-going on Oba Sekumade - Ipakodo Road, the 7.8km Owutu-Agric-Ishawo Road, the 19.39km Ijegun-Jagemo-Ijedodo Road, the Lagos-Ogun boundary roads in Alimosho and Agbado Oke-Odo LCDAs.

#SanwoReports
The Lekki Regional Road, which passes through VGC, Chevron and Ajiran is being constructed at a high speed.

Next year, when we commission these very important roads, relief will come to the people of Eti-Osa, Ibeju-Lekki, Epe and Ikorodu.

#SanwoReports
It is quite impossible to list every thing we have done and are doing in a single thread but our interventions in transportation, health, education, economy, environment etc have been enumerated during the ministerial briefings. Information is available on the state website.
Dear Lagosians, We are standing on the threshold of history. The Greater Lagos we collectively envisioned is closer now than ever before.

It has been a huge honour to serve as the captain of the Greater Lagos ship using the THEMES agenda.

Thank you Lagos.

Let's do more!

Today, I declared open the two-day @NGRSenate Zonal Public Hearing on the Review of the 1999 Constitution.

I spoke on the importance of amending the constitution to address many of the issues that are fundamental to our development as a people. ImageImageImage
For Lagos, the issues of State Police and Fiscal Federalism are top priorities.

Equally important is the issue of a Special Economic Status for Lagos considering our place in the national economy. The need for this Special Status has been sufficiently articulated and justified. ImageImage
The progress and prosperity of Nigeria is inextricably linked to the progress and prosperity of Lagos State.

A Special Status for Lagos therefore must be a concern not only for the people of Lagos alone, but for all Nigerians. ImageImage

Today, at the commissioning of LagosHOMS Phase 2 Scheme at Igbogbo, I presented a 3- bedroom apartment to Mama Awero, a Nollywood veteran. I believe our cultural icons should be celebrated when alive and not only after they are no more.
The 360 unit estate comprising 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments symbolises our unwavering commitment to the Greater Lagos Project, and our determination to build and deliver modern homes that will cater for the need of Lagosians irrespective of social or economic status.
We are doing extensive road infrastructure in Igbogbo and we are extending another road from Ibeshe. The Baiyeku Road needs to be fixed and we will look at it once we are able to push the ongoing Igbogbo road project to a significant stage.

I thank H.E President @MBuhari, WTO DG @NOIweala, @AfDB_Group President @akin_adesina, Founder and Chair @Mo_IbrahimFdn Mo Ibrahim and other dignitaries who joined me as I unveiled the 10 year infrastructural ambition for Lagos State at the Ehingbeti Lagos Economic Summit today
Lagos is the economic capital of Nigeria and I invite our residents, visitors and investors to look ahead to the next decade, and the possibilities that lie ahead for Lagos as we set this great city up for accelerated progress.
There will be a city-wide network of colour-coded Metro Lines, the first two of which – Red and Blue lines – will move over 34.5 million people monthly, cutting travel time by over 250 percent.

Lagos,

There is an urgent need for us to be more circumspect in the way we live, interact and socialize with our friends and family. Many people are ignoring #COVID19 warnings and guidelines, thereby exposing themselves and others to the virus.
We are well into the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Yesterday, Lagos scarily recorded its highest number of infection in one day (712. We have already recorded a frightening spike in infection cases.
This spike brings positive cases to a total of 32,720 in Lagos alone.
This second wave comes with severe symptoms, and the higher number of positive cases we detect, the higher number of casualties we’re bound to record. We do not want this, but for this to be avoided, we must be intentional and cautious.
