Following Japanese media's report that Tokyo is considering to donate its AZ #COVID19 vaccines to #Taiwan, Taiwan's Representative to Japan Frank Hsieh said that these things are normally handled in a low key style in order to avoid political interference. cna.com.tw/news/aipl/2021…

Japanese government's spokesperson also said during the daily press briefing that Japan has more #COVID19 vaccines than its population need, so it will try to release certain guidelines about how to donate the vaccines to other regions and countries.

After announcing the ban of this year's #TiananmenSquareMassacre vigil in #HongKong, HK police sent another warning on Saturday, saying citizens could face up to five years in jail for participating in the vigil and up to one year in jail for promoting it. hongkongfp.com/2021/05/29/up-…

Breaking: Japan's Foreign Minister has confirmed that Tokyo is currently planning to donate their additional #COVID19 vaccines to other countries and regions, and it includes #Taiwan, which is currently struggling to secure enough vaccines fast enough. cna.com.tw/news/firstnews…
The foreign minister said it's important for Japan to ensure that every country and region can get safe and effective #COVID19 vaccines fairly. He mentioned that #Taiwan immediately made donations and other supports to Japan following the Fukushima crisis.
The foreign minister said even though #Taiwan's domestic vaccine is scheduled to be ready by the end of July, but before then, Taiwan may still need more vaccines, so Japan will seriously consider donating some vaccines to Taiwan.

The 19 deaths is another new high single-day death for #Taiwan, the death toll has been rising over the last few days.
