Because it seems possible that Trump’s loss, the failure of the coup to install Trump, the 100s of arrests, the moral humiliation of the spectacle, the condemnation of the event by all, including Trumpites...that might actually force some Qs to quit the game

One more thing that shake some Q-curious people to their senses:

The revelation that Q is almost definitely Ron Watkins, random porn 8chan person with privileged access to nothing & failed prophecies

Christianity, spices, Nike.

Sounds bad? At least it’s a powerful and persistent incentive to learn other languages (be “anti-racist”).

We don’t progress by moral commitments.

Has the rightwing never met an interesting idea? Their incuriosity and intellectual terror sometimes rival their racism

Anyone I have ever known in academia — humanities and sciences — would give anything to stress-test their field’s dominant paradigms as rigorously & imaginatively as Jones has.

It is a monumental achievement. The cries of dissent from towering American historians like Sean Wilentz are *proof* of what an visionary accomplishment the 1619 Project is. It has awoken the field “from its dogmatic slumbers” (as Hume said of Kant).

A belated word about Woke Coke h/t Ted Cruz

Before the Lost Cause romance came along to turn ignominy into glory for the South, the defeated Confederacy treated trauma with...Coca-Cola.

The cocaine & cola-but syrup was marketed to address despair.

It was designed by a druggist & Confederate vet who sustained a nasty saber wound in the war. Which led to an even nastier morphine habit.

Cocaine and sugar as everyone knows is a nice answer for the nodding opiate addict.
