1/n Discussing British traditions is an insult to Indian Army. Is there any requirement of a lanyard? I have tweeted extensively in indigenisation of Indian Army. We went wrong in 1947. How could we continue with an army that had NO ROLE in getting independence?
2. Was there any SIKH, MARATHA, MAHAR, PUNJAB, GARHWAL, KUMAON etc. regiment before 1859? Only troops in East India Company came from Avadh. When the country reign passed to Queen, the reorg saw recruitment from different areas. These were on caste basis. Why did we continue?
3. How much pride do you take in the fact that HODSONS HORSE, a Cavalry unit arrested Bahadur Shah Zafar from Red Fort in 1858? This unit prided itself right till the year I got commission in 1982. The name was dropped thereafter. Indians killed Indians wearing different lanyard.
4. There are many cases of units that have killed Indians as part of British Army. We never 'fought' for independence, there was 'transfer of power'. The Indian Army divided itself in two, for Pakistan and India. What else has been its contribution? Gen Cariappa saw this....
5. And wanted to completely change the Indian Army. The Brigade of Guards was created after independence on all India basis. It has proved to be the finest infantry regiment of Army. Why were others not re organised to look Indian? PM Boris Johnson rendered short of apology...
6. at Jalianwala Bag in Amritsar for the massacre. It was Gorkhas who shot over one thousand Indians. Which is this unit? Why was it not disbanded? Let us not be hypocrites. Since last five years I have been writing extensively on One Army One Uniform, with all India composition
7. removal the caste/state based units and regiments, removal of lanyard, removal of ridiculous accoutrements on uniform (which the Rajya Sabha Chaprasi imitate and the Vice President removes) and doing away with all 'raj type life'. Disbanding colonial practice ....
8. of 'Colonel Commandants" in itself will cut down 50% of nepotism. This racket of Colonel Commandant is the hub of moral and ethical corruption, core to misuse of manpower and guarded & defended with life by Retired and serving Lt Gens and Gens since they are only beneficiaries
9. RADICAL REFORMS is the only way forward for this colonial army. I have in past, tagged only @PMOIndia since other than it I dont expect any changes to take place. INDIAN NATIONAL ARMY was the only true army this nation had. We need radical reforms.
10. LAST. 73 years & the nepotism has taken such deep roots that if I point it out, I will be trolled by veterans. None will debate since all I will request them to upload their Veterans Declaration in order to engage with me. I request @PMOIndia to take up RADICAL REFORMS

1. Sir, My assessment is 100% flawless. I have been writing extensively on documentation. From recruiting rallies to retirement / death in service, the concertina effect of documentation is seen in Records Office at the time of retirement / release when the OR pays heavily.
2. What can records do when the persons release date is fixed and the OR reports to them. Everyone is aware of frantic running around by individuals. OR is alone, no one to help. Records are helpless, they act only if they have papers. Records have no control over authenticity.
3. Records have no say. No weight. They are treated as scum by units. OIC Records is like a paperweight. No other utility. They are either in cahoots with Centre Commandant or hands-in-glove dishing favours. They need to keep Centre and Col Commandant happy. ORs can go to hell.

1/n #Covid3rdWave Question is not ‘IF’ Covid 3rd wave will come, question is ‘who’ will it hit. In India the First Wave hit migrants, daily wage workers, industrial workers & every small income earner. Police was at peak of public display of ‘enforcement’. We were not prepared.
2/n #Covid3rdWave Private hospitals and labs testing and treating fleeced public, masks and PPE kits were sold in black. We were not prepared. The Covid Second wave hit middle class & rich. It hit with an intensity to paralyse everyone. Suddenly there was activity all over.
3/n #Covid3rdWave It was hospitals, beds, cremations, Remidesivir, Oxygen, O2 Concentrators and blame game. We were still not fighting Covid, we are struggling with ‘fait accompli’. The deaths jolted us. Armed Forces, Politicians, Industrialists & Bureaucracy! Spared no one.

1/n #CovidManagement If every State Govt had war gamed Oxygen production-transportation-last mile connectivity in their respective states and screamed ‘help’ in 2020, the current sit would not have come. This EXACTLY is called governance. What use is NDRF-SDRF ?
2/n #CovidManagement Last Jun-November I did three to four long threads and one tweet suggested a Central Command Centre to coordinate nation wide Covid Management. Remember the media centre of Commonwealth games in Delhi? It was absolute beauty. On same lines we needed one.
3/n #CovidManagement I suggested having one central coordinator to handle and direct the disaster. Health, Police, Railways, Transport, Army, assets of election commission etc. 100% in a command centre with the head being given Cabinet Rank. This is GOVERNANCE.

1/n #CovidTestUnderstanding A very interesting read Covid Test. I am from Commerce, Military, Business and non-science background. I read a lot and quest for knowledge is insatiable. A simple conversation converted to such knowledge mine. Go through.
2/n #CovidTestUnderstanding Message to me-

“Xyzee’s mum and Abc’s entire Nani house has Covid after getting their first does of vaccine. Papa you have to be very careful.”

Read response of a brilliant young scientist on our group.👇🏻
3/n #CovidTestUnderstanding Getting a positive test after taking the vaccine doesn’t mean they have COVID.
- the test could be wrong (can happen to anyone and applies to before/after vaccine)
- an antibody test should always come out positive after taking the vaccine (the vaccine

1/2 Those making an issue out of 1 mn Euro ‘bribe’ can work what percentage is 1 of 900? These guys have no idea of defence equipment commissions. It is are not about commission to cost ratio, it’s about commission to ‘budgeting’ ratio. Haven’t heard of such bribes in last 7 yrs.
2/n Having worked in this industry since last 15 yrs, I have seen two periods, 2007-2013 & 2013-2021 and continuing. I am in Delhi. The epicentre of defence budget. The number of middlemen 2007-2013 were in thousands. I would take a round of parking to count Porches & Jaguars.
3/n You just had to know important offices in procurement chain and check parking! The 2nd place was pre-bid meetings whether Defence or MHA process. The who’s who would attend. While Indian companies were represented by employees, these represented foreign firms.

1/n @adgpi @pmo Since 2016 I am writing on #OneArmyOneUniform Read thread of 2016 here👉🏻and second thread in 2020 at trail👇🏻 here. Each year I have brought this up. I read Indian Express indianexpress.com/article/cities… Today I write “why this is inadequate”
2/n #OneArmyOneUniform If @adgpi and @PMOIndia does not take concrete measures today, you will pass in history as people who knew I was talking truth but you did not have courage to implement. 1. Ask any cadet who reports for training in NDA, AFA, NA, IMA, OTA....
3/n #OneArmyOneUniform if they know how to ‘read’ a uniform. Unless with past experience, all are clueless. The day Army cadets are commissioned their eyes become eagle-sharp. They know lanyards, belts, logos, black, brass, colour code, cane, pouch belts- EACH is seed of NEPOTISM
