Although India is rich in many Vishnu temples, the largest statue of Lord Vishnu in the world is located in Indonesia, the largest Islamic country in the world.

From time immemorial, Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, have traded with India in the areas of trade, economy and culture.
That is, at one time India and Indonesia were illuminated by the light of the same heritage.
It is exemplary that this country welcomes the modern world with expressions that represent their faded cultural symbols, even as lifestyles and social contexts have changed drastically over the centuries.

Probably one of the biggest political mysteries for most youngsters today is: "How does BJP, a relatively newer party, manage to get such strong support base even from foreign countries and NRIs in general". The answer to it might surprise many, but it's Narendra Modi.

Contd...
Narendra Modi whose efforts during the 1980s, had laid the foundation for such a cult following abroad.

Most of us have might have already read about the "secularization" of Kerala, where youngsters are being radic∆lized to such an extent that many have been joining global Izl∆mic forces in the Middle East.

Contd.. Image
One of the main reasons for it is the disproportionately high percentage of Muzl!m population (a whopping 35%). But one thing which intrigues many is: How did Kerala end up with such high percentage of Muzl!m population.

The simple answer to it is: Tipu Sultan.
Almost 2.5 centuries ago, Tipu Sultan, who ruled significant parts of Deccan, had cherished the dream of establishing an Izl∆mic Caliphate. Hence he embarked on a journey of conquering neighboring territories and using threats to convert them en-masse into his religion.

Most of the narratives about Modi's rise has been about his role as tea maker in RSS office & as event organizer. But one particular aspect which many tend to overlook, is his creative contributions to RSS/BJP as a "Voice Artist" for the party's media management team.

Contd..
Thanks to his deep voice and oratory skills right from his younger days, Modi was handpicked by the top brass for various voice recordings which could in turn be used as election campaign material to reach out to masses.
In fact, during elections, Modi used to spend hrs & days at recording studios to produce tons of audio tapes in multiple Indian languages, sometimes filled with emotionally strong messages which struck a chord with the masses helping the party garner support during the eraly 80s.

Today's millennials will be surprised to know that there was a time when almost 100% of households in India used to apply cow-dung (mixed and diluted with water) on floorings on a regular basis, to keep insects and germs at bay.

Contd...
That's because cow-dung is one of the rare natural substances which has antibacterial property and thus works as a natural disinfectant.
Interestingly, in most ancient homes, the floor itself would actually be made of a thick & dried layer of cow-dung, because it would have insulation property as well, which automatically regulated internal temperatures of homes.

In Nazi concentration camps, each prisoner was required to wear a downward-pointing, equilateral triangular cloth badge on their chest, the color of which identified the reason for their imprisonment;

1/n Image
A pink triangle was established for prisoners identified as homosexual men, which also included bisexual men and transgender women. The pink triangles were slightly larger than the other colored triangles so that guards could identify them from a distance.
It is said that those who wore the pink triangles were singled out by the guards, and when the guards were finished with them, some of the other inmates would harm them as well.
