Exhibit A: NBC’s disinfo reporters defining “Critical Race Theory” as simply “the academic study of racism’s pervasive impact.”

I mean, “lessons on systemic racism” is a hilarious inaccurate summary of “critical race theory”

To call it euphemistic would be to give it too much credit even.

They continuously package this ideology in the most benign terms possible. Do they even care about conveying the truth? Not at all. The main goal here is to discredit the resistance.

There’s this stupefyingly benign-sounding code reporters supportive of CRT are basically required to use and OH LOOK here’s some more of it in NBC’s piece

What the fuck is an “equity program” and what do “inclusive policies” actually look like in practice? I’m still reading the piece, but my guess is NBC’s disinfo reporters make no attempt to actually explain what these things are in practical terms.

More benign code stated flatly so as to ease the pill of a divisive and destructive worldview. What do these lessons look like? We have no idea. NBC dutifully short on details and high on coded mantras.

One thing I see continuously in pro-CRT journalism is the idea that the choice is between CRT and not teaching about racism or slavery at all.

It’s a false choice, but here NBC plays its role. Republicans just want to ban “discussion of race in America.”

See here? It’s just a given to NBC that CRT is just “systems to combat racism” … and the reason it HAS to be a given is because the resistance to it has to be painted as racist itself.

(Meanwhile, never mind what these “systems” actually are … we won’t hear in detail.)

But kudos to actually linking to it, NBC, one of these systems are BRT’s

And what are BRT’s? Deputized groups of youths who police thought on campuses!! Where have we seen this idea before in history?

I’m not going to finish this piece, it’s obviously pro CRT propaganda dressed up like journalism, but I will point out two more things.

They gloss over this “anti-discrimination” res, but really, read into it. It’s objectively got its roots in CRT and gender theory

And of course where would we be without the old marxist trope that people resisting marxism can’t really “define it”
